He was, but entering last season, he wasn't though. I remember everyone was laughing at him when he said he has on Brady's level. He was really inconsistent though from his 1st and 2nd SB runs. He was throwing like the most ignorant INT's, almost worst than Favre. But, last season he proved it. But, entering last season, I don't even think people had him like even top 15 or even a top 50 player either. But, he got his ring, but lets see how he performs now though.

I think he had a high and abnormal amount of tipped interceptions that year. They were clearly an anomaly - he threw 14 int's the year before and 11 the year before that. And the rest of his numbers in 2010 were pretty sick - 4,000+ yards and 31 TDs. Yeah the consensus was that he wasn't a top ten QB entering 2011 but I thought that was pretty dumb.

This thread should be deleted. It's deterring potential new members.

If I didn't have SOHH/Coli history and just happened to browse onto this site and see this dumb ass thread I guarantee I wouldn't be back.

He has been inconsistent with the giants but enough of a leader and clutch performer with them....Do I think he could be just as inconsistent but a leader and clutch performer with the colts? Yes

So unless you could guarantee the same clutch performances from his Colts teammates that he got from his Giants teammates as well as the same good fortune what good would that do?

No they weren't.

There defense in the reg season was bad (31 and 32), but Bob Sanders carried Peyton to the Super Bowl come playoff time.

He sure carried the Colts to a 21-3 hole against the Patriots in the AFCCG needing the biggest comeback in NFL Conference final history. :comeon:

Bob was instrumental in that run, but you don't win SB MVP, lead the greatest comeback at the time in playoff history, and defeat the #1,#2, AND #3 defensive teams in the same playoffs another NFL first and not had a historic run like Peyton, TD/INT ratio is extremely misleading

in terms of what? yards, td's, td to int ratio, etc.? Eli isn't in their class

Super Bowls are a team accomplishment, Eli having 2 rings doesn't mean shyt... Bradshaw has twice as many as Eli and I've never once heard anyone say he belongs in the top 5

if Kurt Warner isn't considered by anyone to be a top 5 QB, then Eli sure as fukk doesn't belong in there

super bowl mvps playoff stats playoff w/l

Peyton did go up against 3 teams that didn't allow more than 16pts a game. :damn:

He had like 11 tipped ball interceptions Eli very rarely throws Favre interceptions the giants offense is controlled thru Eli like peyton the receivers have to be on the same page if you supposed to run a go route and you run a slant he's putting the ball in the spot you should be at . The only times he's throwing horrible picks is versus the Vikings for some reason . They only harped on the 25 int they acted like he was being a gun slinger or something and by the way manning ham is one of the stupidest receivers I've seen the guy is in the wrong position 90 % of the time or beats his man but is too close to the out of bounds.
