I think Eli has more of a horse shoe up his ass than ice in his veins. That pass to Tyree had nothing to do with Eli and everything to do with the bad karma brewing against :beli:.
You are a hater he had to evade the rush too he broke tackles and put it up not to mention he still had to score the game leading td . The guy has 2 rings and it's all luck ??? Every winning team gets some bounces and lucky breaks Its how the nfl is . Not to mention you completely ignoring his fourth quarter td record last year And his comebacks thru the season. He beat Brady twice last year and us 3-1 versus him

WTF Peyton is probably the best QB of our generation arguably top 3 of ALL TIME...

Eli not even top 3 in the league right now.

5 sbs and 2 victories.

So what. All that shows is that Elway's teams were pretty damn good in that era

Peyton's numbers are already better in just about about every category. And for all the shyt he gets for how he plays in the playoffs, his postseason numbers are better than Elway's too

peyton is great. he's probably 6 or 7 on my list of all time signal callers. i just value clutch and moxy a bit more, and i dont see him making that scramble for the goal line that elway did, for example. you know where to find peyton at all times, and by the time the 4th comes around, the better defensive co-ordinators know how to put the pressure on peyton and minimize the damage that he can cause. elway was a much better mid-play improvisor. peyton is/was a better pure thrower. im not sayin elway is far above peyton by any means, but i think he is above him. separating players at such an elite level is splitting hairs anyway

Even if Peyton didnt have 4th quarter comebacks on his resume, the "clutch" argument wouldve been negated by how historically bad Elway was in the Super Bowl before TD came and saved his legacy.

If the only reason why you place Elway over Peyton is because of this "clutchness", then what makes Elway better than Eli?

I'll just say this. Peyton's legacy at the quarterback position is undeniable and there's still time before we figure out who's "better". However, we can't just write Eli off like he's not closing the NFL "greatness" gap.

To Eli's credit, he made the signature plays to defeat what was damn close to being the greatest team of all time...the most elite version of a team with a quarterback & coach that'd given Peyton problems for YEARS. Then, he did it again with an undrafted star receiver and a 7th round pick at running back.

Still a toss-up, but...

...at least when it counted the most.

EDIT: Has anyone taken time to consider the divisions each one play in? (NFC East VS AFC South)?

so you gonna just ignore the point about mid-play improv...and also how does the bolded logic make sense... peyton and eli are two completely different players :manny:

in any event, eli is too inconsistent during the regular season, he's had too many occasions of looking normal. he has many years left though, so im reserving judgement. same goes for peyton; he can still move up the charts.

the clutch argument isnt negated by shyt. ever heard of 'the drive'...that happened in 1987. yea they got wiped off the field, but elway willed those bronco teams to 3 super bowls, that has to count for something. then, more seasoned and with proper support, elway won back to back super bowls and was the super bowl mvp in the last game of his career.

attribute wise, his arm strength is legendary, perhaps the strongest of all time. as implied earlier, he was also far more mobile than either manning and a bit more crafty

NY Giants' Eli Manning: The Most Clutch Quarterback Since Joe Montana | Bleacher Report

You're much more of a p*ssy than I am a hater.
The only thing I hate is that term hater. A nikka speaks the truth and he's a hater. :heh:
I'm sure that play happened just the way Coughlin drew it up right, guy? Yeah fukking right. At the end of the game they were giving credit to each other because neither one of them really did shyt. Eli said "great catch" and Tyree said "he just pinned it to my helmet, but great job evading the rush" and Eli said "I didn't really do anything, they had me in the grasp but just never bothered to pull me down."

Pure LUCK, my friend. I understand that's your team and all but keep it real with yourself. What you're doing now is embarrassing.

Eli didn't beat Brady twice, the Giants beat the Patriots twice. Take Tuck, Osi, JPP and Strahan out of the mix and Eli doesn't even play Brady twice, much less "beat" him. FOH with this nonsense.

Wherever whores go.....
One has a 64.9% completion percentage 2.015 TD/INT and a 95% passer rating and hes a worse player than

A QB with 58.4% completions, 1.34 TD/INT and a 82.1 passer rating

And QB #2 is better :heh: Miss me with that bullshyt. And people have the nerve to complain about fringe all-stars getting max contracts

Come on, dude. Yeah, it was luck. And luck is when preparation meets opportunity. Eli had the wherewithal to fight out of it, create space for himself, scan downfield (with 3-4 Patriots bearing down on him), and fire something. And Tyree properly positioned himself and made a great leaping catch. Luck? More like execution.

I know the definition of luck. This wasn't that. This was fairy tale luck.

Tyree didn't even catch it, Harrison literally pinned the ball to his helmet, preventing it from hitting the ground.

Take the ring and KIM but don't sit here and act like that's just a day at the office for Eli. That was a once in lifetime play.

If you can't keep it real with yourself then who can you keep it real with? :comeon:

I think you need to watch that play again. It was Tyree, not Harrison, who had the ball pinned to his helmet--and Tyree did that because Harrison was tugging on his forearm trying to pry the ball out. I do agree that it was a once in a lifetime play. Some people make the most of their opportunities.
