knowing what we know about Jules, the scene comes across as inauthentic. You have this supposedly badass character hearing a nerdy looking white person say the word nigger repeatedly and not even flinching. the average black person in the real world would be if a white person said nigger, regardless of whether or not that's hypocritical. the other times white people say nigger make more sense because its white folks in the company of other white folks. but the dead nigger storage scene came across as nothing more than Tarantino wanting an excuse to say nigger in front of Sam Jackson

This post would make sense if the movie actualy downplayed slavery. It didn't it showed it in all it's ugliness.

When I made that statement about reading books I was referring to wanting to hear about black slaves killing whites..because clearly those type of movies will never make it into production..I don't really know what your point was

Didn’t they notice that Tarantino throws in an “S.N.L.”-type skit about the Ku Klux Klan, who gather on their horses for a raid only to complain petulantly that they can’t see well out of their slitted white hoods? Or that Samuel L. Jackson does a roaring, bug-eyed parody of an Uncle Tom house slave in the second half? Or that the heroine of the movie, a female slave, is called Broomhilda von Shaft?
