Dude, QT's last movie (Inglorious Basterds) is basically the same exact formula as Django except its set in the Holocaust. Same amount of comedy, same style, not as much a western, but definitely had comedic overtones. You bugging.

How was it accurate? No slaves were killed by the hands of a white man in the movie. Another slave killed one, another was killed by dogs. Where were the scenes of hard labor from sun up to sundown. Do you know what picking cotton, tabacco, sugar cane, etc does to your hands and back? What do you think they did to these slaves when they couldn't labor anymore. There were no rape scenes not just to women but young girls and possibly young boys as sick as these Cacs are. Cause that shyt happened. Where is the scene with a kid being sold to another owner after being around family for years? It is deeper than what was in the movie. The fact that some of you think the movie is an accurate portrayal of slavery is absolutely despicable

no it's not. it's set during World War II. Like I said before, this comparison would make more sense if Django was a movie about black soldiers in the Civil War killing confederates (ie. Glory) or if IB was actually set inside a Concentration Camp but it's not.
now, if QT made a movie about an escaped prisoner fukking up Concentration Camp SS commanders while freeing the rest of the prisoners, all done in the quirky, semi-serious style that he's known for, I more than likely wouldn't be that offended by it. At the same time, I would understand if a Jewish person took offense to this and wouldn't be outright MAD at that person for being offended like some people seem to be with Spike Lee. I felt the same way about Passion of the Christ and Life is Beautiful. I liked both movies and wasn't personally offended by them, but I understood why some Jewish people found them offensive
