Once the soccer mom image is shed that will help...

Another thing is that in America, the NCAA is a farm system and feeder system for the pro leagues. This doesn't exist in other parts of the world. If the MLS and the NCAA figured out how to put money behind the sport i see it becoming really big. You'd already have the emotional attachment of schools and the financial system alreaddy in place.

It really falls down to how the US will cultivate its youth talent

They have a soccer culture too. Euros have the best leagues, pays the best, and soccer brehs get all the bytches. A lot of their resources into soccer whereas that isn't the case in the USA.
Fair enough bruh, we will find out one day.

The right way, the wrong way and the Max Power way
Which players on the Dutch and German national teams came from abject poverty?

No one came from "abject poverty" because there is a safety net and welfare system in these countries, but most of their players are from working class or immigrant backgrounds. Ozil, Depay, Kongolo, Podolski, Robben etc. etc. None of them were "middle and upper class". USA's the only country in the world where the sport is considered middle class, everywhere else it's a sport for the common man, that's why it's taken so seriously.

Soooo, middle class. Podolski father was a soccer player. RvP's parents were artists, which means "hipster". Robben parent's, I don't know, were middle class? Working class is middle class in the USA.

lol....this is why the world laughs at the US when it comes to football

all these imaginative ideas of 6"3 players from keeper to striker all running 4.4 in the 40 and andrew wiggins vertical:mjlol: but the strength of lebron james:russ:...Hate to burst the bubble, I'm giving the US 20 YEARS...ya'll think other countries will be sleeping?? the love of the game is not deep rooted in american culture.....just forget athleticism....the technical skill must developed from when they begin walking, their must be a collective or pool of thousands of talented players....Also to those saying ship the young ones to europe...if u do that how do u develop your local league??

Also to the ppl saying americans don't care about football....your national team is good because the MLS quality of play is improving and more americans are playing in top flight leagues...

at this point the US is a Quarter Final team at best...but in 20 years things could change....or go to the shyts:sas2:
