the movie sucked and was generic as hell stop trying to turn this shyt into a race thing if we can't take criticism how can we improve? i don't see anything wrong with will putting his kid in movies but they need to come with something better than this.

oh yeah i agree with Art Barr john carter was a good movie interesting concept and everything i'm still surprised that they didn't push it more.

Will smith is one of the only actors allowed to play a good father with a black wife in hollywood. The hate is automatic. He snuck this movie past hollywood. It was a good film. My wife and i enjoyed it.

I dont know how you could watch boring trash like Gravity, a film with no words and then call after Earth garbage.

White America didnt like After Earth but the rest of the world did which is the only reason it was able to recoup its budget. 243 million box office off a 150 million budget.

What you don't understand is Movies are suppose to SHOW not TELL

They went from having modern aircraft to a goddamn intergalactic space fleet in a generation, the nikka Major Raxis or whatever his name was, he still alive, so not too much time could have passed from when they first game. Also you see the impact of the lives lost when aliens came, all they do is tell you, yeah it was terrible they fukked shyt up, but we never see it. That's a sin in all film making, there's nothing to make you hate these bugs or fell sorry for them for getting wiped out.

the movie is just not climatic, Ender's has too tell you when something dramatic happens, he has to tell you when he's doing something super intelligent
you don't see it. There's no emotion in the story the shyt is bland, which is why it did not connect with audiences.

I feel after earth was released during the wrong time of the year.
it should have come out in the later fall.
closer to when most horror or creature features come out.
it was not a summer blockbuster movie.
yet, for a shymalan movie, and breing a coming of age creature feature, it was a good Sci fi submission.

two and a quarter stars, at best.
