watching boxing consistently over the last few weeks, i can see why a boxer wouldn't pay any attention to a MMA guy, they'd get lit the fukk up unless they had godlike leg kicks ready to go all round

From personal experience only other martial art I really fear is wrasslin because they have the same retarded conditioning and also probably can take a couple punches. and if they grab me I'm not getting back up. Muay thai, I know how to check kicks a little bit we can wing it. BBJ don't really care at all because you touch they chin they going into shock.

If we were strictly boxing however not really rating any of them. gap is too wide as expected because we train one single thing. itd be the same trying to grapple one of them cats. Difference is boxers usually accept we aint winning no ground battle them other cats think they can really box.

I may re watch but IMO He was plodding. any decent boxer (since essentially he was just boxing) would dance circles around him footwork wise. They also would probably just stand in front of him too because hes not exactly the fastest puncher anyway.

Personally I think this is a disservice to Sean's performance, he kicked to the body to keep Izzy on the cage always attempted to check kicks.

@T-K-G @O.Red @Aveda

This isn't boxing of course there isn't as much focus on footwork.

You have to to account for a lot more angles and threats in mma, of course a boxer would be able to handle Sean if they didn't have to adjust for kicks and takedowns come on now.

I know that, thats why I said it was essentially a boxing match. sean kicks were just to keep izzy a lil honest they wasnt to do anything. He beat him with a 1-2 and a halfhearted teep. Izzy should be ashamed lol

according to izzy, he personally helped strickland get his passport and pay for his flight.

paid self proclaimed trailer trash to fly into ''aussieland'', whereupon landing the redneck assaulted a citizen, captured izzy's gold, and is now flying back to the states laughing his ass off :mindblown:

if im izzy, my biggest regret is paying for that ticket, or at least bragging about it before the fight :mjtf:

bro your absolute tripping

A dude like Anderson silva was a monster in the clinch physically and had amazing knees and elbows.

Front kicks to the body and and head

Don't let this fight fool you into think you only need to have good boxing izzy just basic

@BobbyWojak I just went back and looked at the fight sequence cuz like I said I didn't rewatch it and I'm not gonna completely jump off the cliff for my opinion, I see what yall saying as far as him fall back to the cage and reeling Alex in

But he was EXTREMELY close to getting that same work he did in that first fight imo :hubie: that right hand misses and he's outta here

Wild how much more aggressive he is here against Alex who is way more dangerous than Strickland, no idea what's up with the guy

Silva is a GOAT, why would you use him as a rebuttal like his skill is the standard for MMA fighters?

I'm not saying boxers are over MMA guys across the board, the shyt is just jarring to see.

Like Strickland woulda had a harder time fighting a pure boxer with takedown defense, based on what I just seen him do
