I don't mind point fighters. I just think it should be a give and take. like if you getting every shoot stuff and then basically just controlling duke and not doing any real damage that shouldn't be an automatic round. It pisses me off every time I see it. Like breh its like someone throwing 87 jabs, they all miss and you give bro the round because the other dude defended them well.

I don't want to get into a discipline pissing contest but boxing is just simply much harder to be world class at and as such if you a student of the game you can appreciate all diff types of boxers cuz every style is hard to win with at that level. MMA is hard too ofc but its dudes who start training at 19 or some shyt and make it to the UFC. You will literally never see that in any weight class below heavyweight.

I don't think there will ever be a floyd in MMA because its simply too many ways to lose. Jon Jones comes closest though.

I agree with most of what you say but i wldnt compare floyd to jones.

What made the rise and early run of jones so big and powerful was that every fight he was beating recent former champs. It wasnt till later ufc had to manufacture a hot fighter a numb1 contender going thru rankings. Jon's got thrown in fire young and early. And floyd always fun with his same bag n skill.
Jones was a young champ and got belt beating 5 str8 former champs and each one beat with a different style or skill.

Often his own opponentd strength. Rua know in pride for vicious soccer kicks Jon's pieced him up with kicks and knees and tko em.

Rampage know for big slam and bullying guys in ring. Jones bullied em and bruised em up, rear choke.

Machida was a boogey man and black belt Jon's was his boogey man and choked em out standing up. First time he went asleep.
Rashad another former champ knew him n out and he beat and broke em down wit and showed his reach and technical ability Rashad cld barely touch em

Then vitor he showed his toughness nt tapping when vitor locked in the deadly arm bar. Showed he had heart and won't give up. The did arm lock right back kimora on another black belt.

Floyd never finished top guys like joned nor use a diff style or method each time.

Floyd is closer to a gsp to me when he was jus takin guys down knee in gut control me didn't go for ko or submit just happy to control and get decision. Str8 technical dominance.
Alves hardy Koscheck shields condor Diaz all str8 decisions was rarely in danger and rarely put himself in danger. Rarely went for the kill. Dats Floyd

The crowd booing was just... how dare a man use all of his skillset :pachaha:
He kept the fight on the feet for 3 rounds and Alex only had calf kicks for him. He only started grappling because his leg was almost dead.
Smart fight by Ankalaev.
Only fight i managed to see. What did Justin do in his fight?

I hate when dumb fans boo and don't understand the technical but that last minute of 5th round I completely understand the boos. You just saw gaethe up on cards and last minute stand and trade end the fight high big risk.

You had 5th round with Alex needing a KO finally hurt him and going for KO and now ankalaev wanna hold on and kill clock for the victory when every1 finally seeing tbe Alex they've been waiting for all 5 rounds. Of course they gonna boo. It's not right but understandable. And if I was ankalaev I wldve treated the 5th round like boxing and clutch n grab and never let go for the entire 5th fukk da fans I don't need a Usman freak KO to take this away from me. Lemme get sum rematch money first b4 in get tkod pls

Just wait till he gets into boxing when he intentionally takes the "boring" champion and sticks them with somebody that he hopes can knock him out so he can sell the fights better.

He'll really be pushing for the Ryan Garcia's of the world to be champions

Yup very young Floyd like 22 yrs old when took more chances and b4 the real step up in competition. He then had like 5 or 6 decisions after.

Starting at the Judah fight he got like 12 decisions his next 14 or 15 fights. Rare Los or stops. Much like gsp rare submits or Kos with a bevy of decisions mostly in his prime years big fights.

2 all time greats, very skilled and technical. But I remember ppl booing or bored at some gsp fights.

Pereira didn't do sh1t. No hands.

Only memorable strikes were inside knees , a throw in the 4th......

Leg kicks ....
