but I'm a amateur, I would think a pro who whole job is to be the best would add some new wrinkles to their game. I'm not trying to down izzy breh is an amazing fighter still, just curious why he didn't explore that hole in his game further.
I guess the absolute worst timeline would have to happen for it to be exposed (his demon being in the ufc)...and it happened so lol
Yea, virtually cleaned out the division.. ATG.. tho ever since he took that L jumping weight classes (in pursuit -i felt- of a Jones super fight), I felt he was in a career crossroads and kinda been threading water.
i.e. 33 yrs old, not a spring chicken, already reached the mt top but too small for the bigger mts. His greatest nemesis (Jones) unavailable. What to do?
And thru all this he had such a height/reach advantage in his division that he may've become complacent with his skill set.
Some say Alex is the first guy on Izzy's level in striking... i'd argue Rob was but, again, 4 inch height and 6.5 inch reach disadvantage. Alex is more like the first on his level who didn't surrender any height or reach.
