Pereira couldn't do shyt down there and Izzy didn't know how to finish him, that's gonna haunt him.

Outside of the end of the 1st round, Izzy didn't really put him in the danger zone with his striking, just isn't strong enough, he can't just expect everyone to let him dash around and play the point game, SOMEONE is gonna know how to cut off the cage and have enough reach to hit him. Gotta have other ways to win

Just rewatched the fight. Izzys leg was definitely compromised. Couldn't circle off the cage. Even tripped over his own foot in the 5th. Those early leg kicks definitely paid off for Alex.

Perriera is bigger and stronger, he forced Izzy into that position. Izzy's calf was compromised from early on and also shortly after he did the rollback. Izzy gave credits to Alex for checking those kicks.

It must be noted that Perriera was close to 30 lb heaver after the weight in. Perriera comes from the light heavyweight division as a kickboxer. So was his first MMA fight, which he lost. Dane stated that Alex is like a heavyweight when he's not in the train camp.

Perriera must have been, let me do cutting in MMA as I did with kickboxing and win all them matches. I think the next generation of fighters are going to be like Perriera, cutting down on weight for the fight and naturally being in a higher weight. He's actually a heavy light heavyweight.

Israel Adesanya's fight with Alex Pereira is official after the challenger made weight just five minutes before the deadline after a gruelling cut from 232lb.

The champion Adesanya arrived on the scales at 185lb early in today's official weigh-in, but Pereira struggled to get down to 184.6lb after ballooning to well into heavyweight territory as recently as August. Izzy had the fight tho, boy exposed himself and either got to cute with in his own style or literally Alex was in his head. Maybe a mixture of both. Yeah I like Izzy but let’s be honest anyone bigger than him beats him cause he can’t handle power and Jones would have crushed him. I would like to see Usman go up in weight and try to fight Alex now since he thinks he can fight at 205.

Considering Usman's age and the already damages he has to his body it's not an option to fight someone like Perriera who came from the light heavyweight. Basically that's a difference in two weight classes. Alex did a cut for for the weight in again Izzy, but gained 13 pounds when he fought him. So most likely Alex was loosing water.

Man it’s crazy Usman and Izzy lost this year but that’s the one thing as a pugilist fan , the element of surprise in UFC is unmatched.

Both guys should be the favorites if we get rematches but Pereira already had the mental edge over Adensanya’s, now he owns his soul.

MMA is mostly unknown in Africa, Nigeria. Both Usman and Izzy said that there are better fighters in Nigeria.

Francis said that there's other guys in Cameroon a strong as him (and perhaps stronger). Francis did open a MMA school in Cameroon, so there's some up and coming talent in the making.
