:deadmanny:

Look man just go ahead and state you aren't comfortable with people of mixed race identifying as such because you perceive it as some sort of threat to black people. You obviously recognize they are afforded some opportunities and privileges within society that someone with two black parents aren't. :to:
Lightskinned blacks are afforded opportunities and privileges that aren't available to darker skinned blacks in this society. You aren't saying shyt regardless of the c00ns running in here cosigning your cracker ass. I don't have a problem with biracial people identifying themselves as mixed if they so choose. Those people aren't my concern and I clearly said that. 1 more time for your dimwits, I'm all about embracing anybody of African heritage who embraces and takes pride in being black. Biracial people who Want to claim mixed ad dont want to be black? fukk 'em. I see and understand your agenda grey boy. I don't get these clowns who claim to be black but want to shun people who directly reject the myth of white supremacy. Those c00ns are completely lost.

Also, Black people are definitely not the only race of people that welcome biracial people to call themselves "black"

I have a bunch of Asian/White mixed friends that ALWAYS refer to themselves as Asian...

People call themselves whatever they want to call themselves..

It has nothing to do with "holding on" to biracial people or whatever corny shyt people are saying in here. It just so happens that a lot of biracial people identify with being black. I think it is up to the person to choose what they want to identify with or call themselves.

If you wanna be called biracial, be called biracial, if you want to be called black, do it. If you want to be called white, go for it...

I don't think anyone is going to really care in the grand scheme of things...

:huhldup::patrice:

But don't you understand by "allowing" them to claim a single race when they are not, more importantly black is participating in white supremacy and practicing hypodescent.

In societies that regard some races of people as dominant or superior and others as subordinate or inferior, hypodescent is the automatic assignment of children of a mixed union or mating between members of different socioeconomic groups or ethnic groups to the subordinate group.

I understand that but why do black people accept people who are mixed raced like Obama and Halle Berry and Alicia Keys as black in 2013 when they aren't? :smh:

Why do black people get butthurt when people with the same racial makeup decide to identify as white or mixed race?

Why do black people resort to some of the most depressing and disparaging bench marks for authentication of blackness by bringing up criminality?

Outside of racist KKK members calling Obama black, white people for the most part acknowledge his background as being mixed raced. Black people may acknowledge but we overwhelmingly accept him and whoever else that is marginalized in society as being black. :smh:
:leostare:

Halle Berry defines herself as black woman. I'm pretty sure Alicia Keys does too.....but guess what. That's probably how they were treated growing up. If there was a line for blacks and a line for whites, which one do you think they would be told to line up in? And which one would Blake Griffin or a Derek Jeter be told to get in?

Same with Obama.....Obama LOOKS black. There's nothing about him that screams mixed.....I know non-mixed black ppl lighter than him.

Black people aren't immune to incorrectly defining a mixed person as black, HOWEVER, white people are the ones responsible for making it a problem/issue with segregation, racism, and making it an issue to begin with.

It has everything to do with holding onto biracial people because they are afforded privileges within society that blacks are not.

Asian/whites do not share the same history as black/white and largely aren't seeing as a step down within white culture as far as marrying or procreating.

I think black folks accept mixed black combinations with identifying as black because historically that just happened naturally for whatever reason. In general we're welcoming people. In real life I haven't really experienced a lot of black people being "butthurt" if someone doesn't identify as black, but that just may be because of the crowd of black folks that I associate with and my family are in general extremely unique in their views... I don't know, but I don't think this "butthurtness" that you like to bring up on here really exists that much...

Also the criminality being a benchmark of blackness? I don't know what type of black folks you know, but most of the black folks In my fam and friends don't use that as a benchmark of "blackness"... So maybe you should find a new groupd of black people to associate with i guess :manny:

Halle Berry is a certifiable idiot. It's one thing to call herself black considering the time period she grew up in, but to call her 75% percent white child, "black" is absolutely ludicrous.

I don't care about looks. That's what you guys are ignoring. You want me to play this game that you state you are attempting to destroy in a "social construct" yet you won't call these people what they actually are and continue down this border erasing path by going on looks. It's an inaccurate measurement.

Black people in 2075 with look like Rashida Jones. :wow:

So when you're referring to a black person on here as a "nikka"... it is meant in a derogatory way?

:what: I can say nikka or say shyt about black people whenever feel like without any repercussions because I'm part black. I have that card in my back pocket. :morgan:

Breh every race thread pertaining to mixed race people identifying as such we'll have a dozen comments talking about "if a cop comes what do you think will happen"

Or

"who you think they going to arrest"

:wow: the c00nism reign continues.

Don't play this stupid game with me, kid.

I already called Blake Griffin mixed...multiple times. You keep ignoring it.

But Let me make it real simple for you:

Halle Berry, Keys, Obama, etc are mixed in TRUTH/FACT. That's most important. But the REALITY of living in THIS culture/society/USA, they are black.

And there's no arguing that.

fukk hypodescent and hyperdescent. Those are just the way that people are classified. The classifications themselves aren't racist, the ideology apllied to those classifications are racist. As long as the myth of black/dark skinned inferiority is perpetuated, white supremacy is maintained. You're a gotdamn racist who's aiming to perpetuate white supremacy. Anybody who doesn't have their head up their ass can see that.
