I get it, a lot of people on this board feel that T.I. is corny. A lot of it comes from feeling some kind of way about his beef with Flip. There's also the backlash from him going at Shawty Lo. Yeah, both were started by him for unnecessary reasons, but there's some ridiculous rewrites and revision in regard to T.I. on here. I mean, people skip over Trap Muzik and even discredit T.I.'s run. Yeah, he's nowhere near where he was, but dude had one of the greatest runs of any rapper. If any album of his is classic, it's Trap Muzik. That album created a lane for a Jeezy. Jeezy even sampled "Rubberband Man" and had T.I. feature on the same album.

That's not what you said...you said:

Outkast was talkin' about the trap before anybody knew who T.I. was.
So now you wanna move the goalposts and ask about a trap theme? Gone wit' that.

That's not a goal post move because Kast didn't achieve success in the mainstream from making trap songs.

T.I. was never that great.

He's the Ja Rule of the South.

This is a goal post move, because Kast achieved success in the mainstream while making trap songs.
They didn't have to make a one-dimensional album about the trap.

While we're at it, T.I. best give thanks every day that Atlantic is the company that put it out,
or it might've bricked like his first album did.

Peep game:

Yes he is. You ain't gotta agree. Before Trap Muzik, no other rapper had that level of success in the mainstream talking about a trap.

So you never heard any Outkast albums?

When did OutKast make a trap album?

Which outkast album was based purely on trap?:hhh:

You see how quickly the goal shifted from talking about it to being a whole album dedicated to it?

Ya'll should get paid for this type of swerve :wow:

Name Southern artists who were mainstream successes as a direct result of No Limit and CMR who were not signed to either label.

The bold part is irrelevant.

The whole point is that artists on those labels were mainstream successes.

And afterward, artist from everywhere else knew the South was here to stay.

Ladies and gentleman, "Snappin' & Trappin" is the song that got OutKast mainstream recognition.
Who on Earth said that? :ohhh:

My dude, are you alright? I know it's late but you're arguing points that aren't even there

Cool Breeze and Ghetto Mafia (and Outkast) pre-date T.I. talkin' about the trap.
You know that.

Pre-dating =/= blowing up because of it.
Thug Motivation 101: Let's Get It is a far bigger deal than Trap Muzik is. Now what?

Both albums went platinum. Both albums are acknowledged as classics and two of the best albums to come out of The South. Only one of these blew up before the other. Now what?
