Jay-z and R Kelly’s album, lol. I fux with Jigga but a lot of them 50-55ish late 60’s/early 70’s dudes were on some real creepy, spooky shyt when it comes to girls and the ages and all that. Not insinuating anything…but yeah. How do you know what this guy did to Aaliyah, someone you’ve said you loved, and then become BFF’s with him and form a group? *cues scary music*
More than that,

the fact that they got back together to put out Unfinished Business and toured off that shyt. THAT shyt has been retconned. That part of the Jay-Z retirement never comes up. We remember the Black Album sendoff. We remember his mashup with Linkin Park. We remember him becoming President at Def Jam. Getting back together with R. Kelly only because Chocolate Factory resuscitated him, we don't remember a damn thing.

Also, low key killed the Trackmasters.

Lil' Wayne in the 90's. His career underwent several reinventions. First with the 500 Degreez and Sqad Up Tapes then with the Carter series. Wayne has been retconned into being a child star who maintained a career through adulthood. This is not true. Wayne wasn't a child star. While Lil Wayne began his career at 12, he was hardly a star and definitely not the star of the Hot Boys.

It wasn't until Wayne was 17 years old that he actually would become a star with the release of his platinum debut in 1999. Still, he wasn't the star of the Hot Boys as Juvenile was clearly the star of the group and marquee artist of Cash Money. Wayne stood in the shadows of Juve, B.G. and even the Big Tymers until 2004.

Man I’ll never forget when Wayne started going to college and people was saying how smart he was and that’s why his lyrics made you think :russ: (come to think of it, we were like how j Cole fans used to be 🤦🏾‍♂️)

But come to find out it was just 1 psychology course online

Multiple rappers claiming they had a cartoon show in the works but none of them ever saw the light of day….ghostface and beanie sigel are two names that come to mind.
A cartoon about Beans would have been fire, lol. Some Fat Albert meets the Catillac Cats type vibe...but violent. All I'm visualizing is that spaghetti sauce stained, Hawaiian Punch stained, armpit sweat stained, nasty ass "kinda still white" ass wifebeater Beans had on in "State Property" when he whipped out that old dude with the bat, that represents the whole vibe of the cartoon in my mind. 🔥🤮
