Roland is one of our greatest political minds
Idk what selling out means in this instance. This is why I can’t go full socialist sometimes. I want black dollars doing what everyone else gets to do but when it comes to us it’s supposed to be full revolution.Well, since you’re trying to be respectful, I’ll reply to your comment with I don’t know if I agree with your solution. I respect your opinion, though.
See, I asked the question the way I did, because I feel we have quite a few of our leaders and politicians out for self and family, masquerading as being for the overall community. Talking about the wealth in our community is pretty taboo, but our leaders should be talking about this nonstop, and from what I’ve seen, not too many of our leaders and politicians like to bring it up. We’ve got too much data not to be bringing this up. These numbers should have been talked and talked about to Biden/Kamala during the election campaign. A rapper like Cube should not have had to bring all this to attention. We live in a capitalist nation and society. Your community is up when the numbers are up and reflects that. We need to start from square one and find out who is really for the community. If you’re not, that’s cool, but you can’t call yourself a black leader or be a politician for us if you’re not.
This is wrongThe black “elite” in America operates at the behest of white America, in the service of an agenda that keeps an anti black status quo intact. Actual members of the black elite, like Martin and Malcolm and Medgar and Fred and Huey, are assassinated.
Are you upset because giving rights/help to all minorities causes them to help us less. Or is it because you just don't give a fukk about other groups regardless?
It’s not white gays or immigrants who’re systematically oppressed and the descendants of slaves whose uncompensated labor built this country.
Is this the new hustle from you bootlickers? Spin ways to excuse legislation and executive action that aids everyone but black people?

black conservatives live in a country that doesn't exist though and its annoying to hear them try to pretend otherwise.I will never hate on Robert Woodson, he is a real one. He is one of the few Black conservatives that has actually been in the trenches (community activism) his whole life and he has told his fellow right wingers to fukk off when they try to softpedal racism. Remember, him and Glenn Loury publicly left the American Enterprise Institute when they started pushing Dinesh D'Souza and Charles Murray in the 1990s.
I agree with some of what he is saying about how you can't say poverty alone causes these issues. What he is neglecting is that a lot of external trends that just don't affect Blacks play into this. Family has declined and out of wedlock birth has increased across the West (though not Asia) since the 1970s. We are amongst the highest but most of Europe and other areas are not far behind us. Scandinavia is about the same as we are though partners raise kids together more there. One of the biggest factors is while Black women were more likely to get employed than Black men, their jobs and levels of education made families an economic necessity. Family cohesion for a lot of human history was driven by necessity.
A big thing though is that Black folks were not predominantly urban until after WWII. The Black in cities before then were typically long time communities that were relative more economically secure and educated than the folks down south. The Blacks in the south were in small, tightly knit, conservative communities which often have a lot of cohesion and this helps reduce crime. Let's also not act like everything was perfect back then, just read WEB DuBois or E Franklin Frazier to see there were still big social problems we were dealing with.
