The status on the two consoles I ordered from Sony Direct finally changed to "Preparing To Ship".

Just got charged also, it’s preparing to ship. I’m about to throw my Pro in the trash brehs.

First thing I load up is Street Fighter V just to see the improved loading. It’s ghastly on PS4, especially when Marvel 3 and SF4 are damn near instantaneous.

What’s crazy is the Spider-Man PS4 bundle I grabbed from them was seamless in 2018 when that was kinda hard to find. Hate that Amazon and Wally World seem to be the only competent retailers

Unlike Xbox Series X/S, you can't temporarily store PS5 games on an external drive. So sit tight and keep deleting and re-downloading those digital games for now :'/ You Can't Store PS5 Games On An External Drive

There have been conflicting reports on this. IGN's reviews says one is able to put their ps5 game in cold storage on an external HDD.
