Like I said in another thread nostalgia is something else. They used to trash this era too in real time. Complaints were loud.... too much iso ball, league was "too black", not enough shooting, not enough scoring, etc.... Ratings were historically bad just like now.

The only people i remember trashing the 2000s era was old heads 40+ stuck in the 80s and cacs who hated that the league was "too black" I never heard someone in their 20s and 30s complain about the league back then like most of us in our 20s and 30s do now and old cacs put out media hit pieces because the league was "too black" the only finals I can remember niqqas was complaining about was that awful nets vs spurs series

The issue is ESPN and ABC not showcasing the younger guys. Team like the Magic, Grizzlies, Cavs, Spurs, Wolves, KIngs aren't being showcased like that unless it's a playoff game and in ABC's case a game 7.

As for the pre and halftime shows, you don't need Smith, you don't need Perkins illiterate ass, or Wilbon.

Nobody wants to see the kings breh.

Which is funny as hell, because it's reversed since then

You have more white non international players in the league with Cooper Flagg added next summer. the scoring average is up to 123 ppg while it was around 95 to 100 twenty years ago, players are shooting the ball more (though over shooting 3's need to stop)

Basketball is a specific body type sport that is extremely prejudice.

Football is the only sport where crippled and missing appendages and body parts can actually play with our prejudice and every body can play.

What’s interesting to me is that the ratings for ESPN games are down 25-30% but TNT from what I understand only has like a 1-2% drop

Wondering what the difference is. Is it that TNT just has had a better selection of games? Is it because TNT games can also be streamed on Max? Inside the NBA still drawing people in? Has to be an explanation for why one is down significantly and the other is almost the same

They need to move the season. It shouldn’t overlap with the NFL….AT ALL. Start the season in January and end it in July.

The NBA was on the verge of folding until Magic vs Bird. America just doesn't like hoops unless there are stars & drama.

All the talk of Clark as a star and she plays the exact style that cats hate watching with the men

A lot of these arguments are based on irrational factors that obviously can't be reasoned with.
