Boring?

SGA game smooth as butter. One of the best young players in the league and probably win a mvp sooner or later
The issue is ESPN and ABC not showcasing the younger guys. Team like the Magic, Grizzlies, Cavs, Spurs, Wolves, KIngs aren't being showcased like that unless it's a playoff game and in ABC's case a game 7.

As for the pre and halftime shows, you don't need Smith, you don't need Perkins illiterate ass, or Wilbon.

The issue with this is how do you sell foreign stars to an increasingly xenophobic American audience?

The NBA became what it did due to MJ, Magic, & Bird but it's time to switch to marketing teams. It'll be difficult and will take time but with the global growth of the game, it's just how it has to be at this point.
This was essentially the same issue back in the early 2000's where a lot of the faces of the league were from other countries.

We're pretty much re-entering that era, where you're gonna have to market most of your star players.

You can’t market basketball as a team sport when one player can change a team’s outcome and can do so much
This hasn't been true for 10 years. The increase in 3 pointers means one player can't change a team's outcome. Thats why Bron is no longer as effective despite the stats...

Disingenuous considering the amount of 3 pointers being attempted now compared to ten years ago isn’t the same plus Bron’s age & health are to be factored in.

There are no Trent Dilfers, Rich Gannons or Jim McMahons hoisting Larry O’Brien trophies

You’re not going to win Jack shyt in The NBA on some Gerri Tarkanian type shyt

Strongly disagree…that muhfukka’s game is beautiful …he’s a direct descendant of the great highly skilled shooting gawds…as a personality he’s boring, but his GAME?!? shiiiiiit

We enjoy his game minus the foul hunting, but the casuals and the "I don't watch the NBA until Christmas or after the NFL season" don't f*ck with him. That's the issue.

Games are inaccessible for local fanbases
Fans are tired of 3 point variance deciding games
Inconsistent officiating
Most electric athletes in the game (Ant, Ja) are going away from dunking
Zion and Ja getting into their situations affected them getting the torch or push

Silver sucks

Star power is the biggest issue.

Look at just 7-10 years ago.. league was stacked with "Must See" teams and players.. Kobe, LeBron, Steph, Wade, Melo, D-Rose, Boston Big3, Mavs were good, Spurs were good, Lob City Clippers, OKC Thunder with KD/Westbrook etc.

Nobody is gonna rush home and watch these nikkas just shoot 3's all day.... where's the crossovers? the midrange? the dunks? the athleticism?

They’ve done a bad job at promoting the next era of stars and the two they hedged their bets on (Ja, Zion) fumbled.

And I agree the Wolves had a game against Boston a few weeks ago dawg. The teams shot a combined like 96 3’s. Nobody wants to see that shyt man

Like I said in another thread nostalgia is something else. They used to trash this era too in real time. Complaints were loud.... too much iso ball, league was "too black", not enough shooting, not enough scoring, etc.... Ratings were historically bad just like now.
