the grey goose bottle at the club in 1990 infuriated me.

A lot of inconsistencies. The outfits weren't quite right and neither was the slang.

Why even bother with a period piece if you're not trying to be as detailed as possible. Without the nostalgia its just a regular ass show...

And I'm a coli militant as much as the next bruh, but lets not act like there weren't white folks involved in hip hop back then who really knew the culture. However I admit that white character was a bit annoying.

I disagree about the real hip hop angle (keep in mind I only saw about half the movie). That was a real issue around the time Hammer and Vanilla Ice were blowing up with bullshyt records.

I agree wholeheartedly that it was unfortunate that the one character was white. Totally unnecessary.
