Tony and Natasha dead and Cap is considered dead to the world. Only the Avengers know the truth. So no, they didn't bring everyone back to life. They effectively killed half of the Avengers.

i disagree. The MCU's tone is what has made it so good. They don't take it TOO serious. You also need moments of comedy to offset the serious stuff. People thinking shyt supposed to be dark like wack ass Batman need to be quiet. They are loud minority that would have driven the MCU into the ground if they got their way.

I don't mind the jokes when it fits the character. For instance spiderman constantly cracking jokes is cool because that's his character. But I HATE how the MCU has turned characters like Thor and the Hulk into complete jokes. I hated Thor: Ragnarok because Ragnarok is supposed to be serious event and they had Thor running around making quips the whole movie.

It depends on the character, but all of the movies should have different tones based on the characters.

I loved it in Guardians, because that's revamped Quill & Rocket. But it should not have been Drax. But at the same time, how do you turn Drax into someone memorable? Of course it works for Spidey. I liked the arrogant playfulness in the first Thor, but the slapstick was too much for the character. If Dark World was more like whenever he was in Asgard, the movie is great. I despised going full comedy for Ragnarok.

I loved RDJ as Tony...but the entire move, the villains, Happy...ehhh. Same thing with Dr Strange.

Exactly, plus they were doing alot of movies. Do we really expect them to sit there and right scripts as good as the Nolan Batmans, and still release a movie every summer?

I think the humor complaint at this point is starting to become overexagerated. They always get their point accross, even with humor. So its not as of they are robbing Peter to pay Paul. Speaking of which,my problem with the humor is that Spiderman is the least funny of the funny chacters:martin:

How in a universe where everybody quips,is the character probably most known for quipping the worst at it?

Thats one thing I certainly didnt expect to lose. Going from the Andrew Garfield version,to the MCU version. I really thought they were going to have a field day with Spidey.

Now im guessing this is where some MCU loyalist tells me "But bu but,he hasnt grown into being Spiderman yet, give it two more movies:whoa:"

If you liked it or not is personal taste, but it fits the film & character perfectly. It's Quill using his music/connection with Earth to do something completely unexpected/confusing/alien to Ronan to distract as Rocket fixes the weapon. It's him using his uniqueness as a Terran to literally have his humanity save the day. It's also a payoff to the Kevin Bacon/Footloose reference as Ronan would fit the bill of someone having a stick up his butt and Quill being the Kevin Bacon/hero in the moment to save the day by dancing.

I'd argue the humor is completely in place there b/c it's two sides that don't really want to fight each other but are forced in that position for various reasons (loyalty, revenge, recruited in, playing both sides, etc...). So the interactions are understandably awkward and most the humor is from that dynamic. It also holds as a contrast to the fight at the end of the film where they're legitimately trying to hurt each other and there's no jokes to be had.

I'd say where the humor gets overdone is when they try to get too quippy/ad-lib frenzy like the Iron Man sequels or Ant Man 2 (1 has a much tighter script & dialogue while still being jokey).
This - ultimately it comes down to tone and appropriateness. I thought the humor was appropriate in Infinity War, the two stuff you mentioned, etc. It's when the stakes are a little too high that it gets ridiculous, like Ultron being some weird Frasier character and a few moments during Endgame kinda felt weird though a bit understandable (Tony's insult about Rocket kinda derailed the mood of the scene but was still in-character given that he's all delirious and shyt :mjlol:)

"Most" is still wrong too. There are far more characters in the vein of daredevil and punisher than there are spiderman type heroes. MCU turned everybody into a wise cracking peter parker clone.
In comics Tony is an alcholoic
Antman beats his wife
Hulk eats people when he gets mad
Black Widow will fukk somebody to remain undercover
Hawkeye is basically john wick with arrows.
Cap is basically everything you'd expect from a white guy from the 40's :mjpls:

Mind you i read mostly the Ultimates Comics. but even outside of that they are not childrens characters.
And there's your problem - you're going off one specific universe targeted at a specific audience. Stuff like MAGA Cap is only in the Ultimate Universe

I'm a big Marvel fan, and have at least enjoyed most of their movies. The forced humor at times is definitely my biggest issue with their films. Still, they've gotten so much right, and given me entertainment I never could have dreamt of as a 10 year old loving Marvel comics on to adulthood, that I can forgive it while wishing Feige would tighten that up.

"Ruining" "all" the films is ridiculous hyperbole though.
