You’re posting plot points or story arcs that happened over a decade ago and acting like they are regular things that happen breh

Could Marvel movies be made with a more serious tone? Obviously. But they’ve got a formula that churns out $500 mil to billion dollar blockbusters on the regular. You gonna cater to a thousand hardcore fans who want dark and serious or a million casuals who can take their kids/nieces and nephews? At the end of the day, it’s business

This is why MCU stans are annoying

Facts, and what humor they did have was more situational humor. and not just a cast member breaking character or the third wall to do a 2 minute gag out of nowhere.

You'd be a fool to think comic book movies won't incorporate jokes in the mix, but the problem is...the people writing them usually aren't funny and the characters they have saying the jokes wouldn't even look right saying them


But the above quote? Perfectly executed. The right character and the right amount of cheesiness to still be funny

Tony and Peter are supposed to do that. Thats part of their character. The rest of cast was forced because they had to maintain some sort of consistency with the prior movies that te russo's had nothing to do with. Even then they gave all those characters far more dramatic moments than they were given in their own movies. Thor for example was far more upset at the death of his people and loved ones in Infinity War than he was in Ragnorok.

Marvel movies now are what action comedies were in the 80/90’s.

The one thing people complain about with those old action movies because they didn't age well is the corny one liners that the stars used to do in them.
Arnold doing mr freeze killed that off for while, before marvel brought it back.
