if ur fat, try jogging. you will be able to do that longer. sprinting is a quick thing. u ain't gonna burn calories doing a couple windsprints. if you can jog for like 45 min to an hour, you will definitely burn calories like a MF'er.

What part of the southside you from? :birdman:

The guy is talking about burning fat...

If he is overweight jogging would be much more effective because he would be able to jog for longer

when he is reasonably fit then he should start with the sprinting

an unfit overweight person sprinting wont be able to sprint for long and definitely wont be anywhere near fast

Jogging longer does not equate to burning more calories or fat i.e. 5 min of sprint vs 10 min of jogging. If he slower, what one consider's a sprint may be jogging for others. Again..its HIIT. Interval=breaks. If he's a fat fukk, he's going to take breaks during "jog". Might as well sprint.

And tbh, he needs to do both. You need a warm up/down for sprints or else he's going to pull something.

Mods move should move this thread to the #gym .

Whatever you do just make sure it's at least 20-60 minutes.

:obama: People who obviously know what the f*ck they're talkin' about.

Which is better

If you jog, you have to jog a particular to distance to burn x of calories. If you sprint and you want to burn x calories, you don't have to sprint as far but you need to keep your intensity up.

So, if you are out of shape starting from ground zero, sprinting can only take you so far because you don't have the strength or stamina to do a NFL combine wind sprint workout. So, jogging is the better option.
If you are in shape, then doing 400 meter sprints can be done as your workout and not having to cover miles and miles of road.
