Anaerobic training >>>>>>>> Aerobic training
I'm going with consistent jogging....combined with sprints!!Which is better
It's conventional wisdom, but depending on the variables, it can vary, so it's not a fact:
Definition comes from muscular exercise, not aerobic And yes, depending on the variables, I was wrong, you can technically burn more calories running one mile than walking one mile, but that wasn't the main point of my post. You will burn more calories jogging 3-5 miles every day than doing continuous 400m sprints. The longer you maintain a high heart rate, the more you will burn.
I've done sprinting and for steady state cardio I do cycling. I've lost 40lbs and diet by far is the most important aspect of losing fat.
Abs are made in the kitchen.
this is the most stupid post in the thread....
I do boxing which requires lots of roadwork, I run about 7km about 5 times a week....
Boxers don't push weights heavy, in fact a lot of old school trainers frown upon even doing light weights.... The most effective way of burning fat is through cardio...
Running is your best bet.....boxers and swimmers don't really push weights and they have lean muscle mass....
I see guys that push weights in the gym religiously but can't run half a mile
By all means push weights if you want muscle mass but for best results have an intense cardio program.....that way you will look good and actually be fit at the same time

Which burns more calories, walking or running? - CNN.com
A) F*ck you
B) Sprinters are muscular because they need explosiveness. It's a different kind of body that runs a 10.3 than a 12.5. They hit the weights a lot. Long distance runners can't be that heavy or built because their 1) their weight will slow them down 2) they're going to have less endurance over time with more muscle mass due to the energy their body will need to maintain the same constant pace
^^^This is the dude that won the last ironman competition. No, he's not as built as an Usain Bolt, but he's not flabby
