We have to stop villainizing the poor and low-income for being where they're at in life financially. The hard truth many people in this society fail to understand or choose to ignore is that some people can't help being poor/low-income and due to many reasons, that's their ceiling, unfortunately, some improve their lives while others stay that way permanently no matter what, that's as far as they're going. They still deserve proper educational resources just like everybody else. Why do people scoff at helping the poor and low-income have a chance at being moderately successful in life but cheer and clap on for the already relatively successful middle-class and rich folks getting more or all of the benefits?

Yes, unfortunately, there are always going to be bad students coming from bad households affecting the classroom and sometimes dragging other students down with them but, with the right resources given to the schools, those kids acting up won't be a factor and maybe the teacher would be able to reach those bad students if they had the necessities.

Every kid isn't going to be “saved” and some will get left behind, sadly because of things at home,q However, there are plenty of students in the classroom who do want to learn and shouldn't be deprived because of a few students in the room coming from bad situations at home.

If anything y'all are in violation because you equate poverty with ignorance and violence, when you actually have more good/educated people who are poor than violent ignorant people. And my statement doesn't mean that resources isn't needed. My statement means that you have a lot of people who are poor and fighting hard to make their situation better.. Not just sitting around and complaining about the system, while expecting the system to save them.. Thats counter productive thinking.

Which is proving my point that blame can be placed on multiple entities and not just one particular person like a lot of posters in this thread are insinuating.

But putting the most blame on outside forces is weak to me.. If thats the case, it'll make sense for a person to make sure they don't bring children into this bullsh*t situation.

Weak to you, but it's a legitimate argument especially when the town next door can get resources with no complaints at all, but for black people you're saying they need to figure it out on their own. It's lowkey racist as it's the same argument complaints that posters love to complain about white people doing.

Lets dig deeper here because this discussion is foggy.. Lets start with learning how to read.

What resources is needed for you to teach a 3 year old how to read?

You mean that fact there are some parents in poor neighborhoods can't even read or understand basic math and grammar themselves?

Yes!!! And if they can't read, then please believe they are taking their children to people in the community, that will help their child learn how. You actually have parents that will encourage their own child to listen to another capable adult. If you are involved, then you'd know that you have parents that will curse out people who are trying to help as well.

The Deep State
  • « Men of America, the problem is plain before you. Here is a race transplanted through the criminal foolishness of your fathers. Whether you like it or not the millions are here, and here they will remain. If you do not lift them up, they will pull you down. Education and work are the levers to uplift a people. Work alone will not do it unless inspired by the right ideals and guided by intelligence. Education must not simply teach work—it must teach Life. The Talented Tenth of the Negro race must be made leaders of thought and missionaries of culture among their people. No others can do this and Negro colleges must train men for it. The Negro race, like all other races, is going to be saved by its exceptional men."»

And what if it's a generation of family that doesn't know how to read or understand basic math and english grammar. Also, don't forget the fact that a lot of resources like libraries and other tutoring resources are being closed down or stripped away of resources themselves due to political reasons or don't even exist in poor neighborhoods.

You're proving my argument with your argument without even realizing it.

Politicians create policies that hurt Black people on a macro level. You can have the greatest teachers in the world but if the home life is dysfunctional, they can only help so much.

If you gave people million dollar homes and all the resources in the world, you still HAVE TO PUT IN THE F*CKING WORK!!!!

Y'all think work ethic flips on like a light switch once you get all the resources you're crying about? You had poor people who had minimal resources, a decent work ethic, who turned their situation around when they got $20k+ in PPP money.. I seen this..

Then you had poor people with 0 work ethic, no ambition, who got $20k and even more and blew all that sh*t.. And while y'all begging white mfers to give you resources, they was sitting back and gathering the "stats" on all this behavior.. Sure you have those who need the resources and the government should give it to them. But people need to understand you have a segment of humans within all races who refuse to do the right thing regardless of what they have.

People really need to grow the fck ip.

This thread is a testament of what's wrong with black America. Continuing to blame others and asking for assistance. Yet, every other group is creating ecosystems and practicing group econcomics. :francis:
