Hold up.

Here's the thing that sickens me coming from folk like you and the @BarNone of the world.

The angle that speaking or doing things for black people automatically segregates itself from helping others. The point is, no Democratic President since 1961 has talked LESS about race than this man.

No one is asking him to do anything but speak to our issues and stop being afraid to do so.

The point is, he doesn't TALK to or ABOUT us. It's always his online proxies that seem to be doing all the talking.

And YES @BarNone, there is statistical data backing the assertion that low income blacks voted more for this President than Middle or Upper income blacks, the ones least likely to come out and vote. I know you don't like the idea of Middle to Upper Income blacks at their $500 a plate chicken dinner functions are least likely to go to the polls, angry that Lecretia from around the way is most likely to go out and vote, but it's there.
Oh so instead of investing billions into education and job training programs, he should do more talking about the black community? Does he talk about asians? whites? latinos? africans? No, he doesn't single out any race and this goes back to my original point of people expecting him to get up there and be on some civil rights shyt. He actually is trying to do shyt that will help people and I can see it because I work in government and a lot of the initiatives he has passed has saved a lot of peoples jobs, insurance, and all kinds of shyt.

That solely was for latino's? :usure: They make up a large number of them but this bill also helps the 20% of non-latino immigrants in the country illegally as well. You can compare it to the fair sentencing act being that African Americans are targeted for unfair sentences more so than others but it can also be used to help other ethnicities who would have received unfair sentences as well. My point is there will never be a bill that directly effects only one ethnic community. And aren't you african? Some of them will benefit from the Dream Act.
Yea but 80% of the people it helps are Latino. Anyone else it helps is just gravy.

We are facing a lot of issues to this day, whether it is bank loan discrimination, police brutality, racial gerrymandering, whatever. And these are issues specific to us that dude refuses to touch. I would have the same gripe w/any other president but with dude its especially egregious considering who he is and how he came up. Nobody is asking for preferential treatment, but for blacks to get second class treatment from a black president... I don't see why you don't feel people should have the right to talk about that

While you wait on that (don't hold your breathe), I can find a link for him that says Obama has received more death threats than any other president ever.

What does obvious cism thrown at the President mean in this?

Last Week, I Met With President Obama…. | NCLR Blog

I was very proud to sit directly across the table from the president as the Latino community’s representative in this conversation.

And this is just where we will have to disagree but I truly respect your opinion on this. One thing that did upset me was the lack of minorities being placed in positions in the White House. I think President Obama sometimes tries too hard to not seem biased towards black people and just doesn't govern through a racial microscope. The illegal immigration discussion didn't begin with Obama but something had to be done by whoever won the 2008 election being that it was such a hot button issue. The African American community hasn't had a hot button issue in many years and it's up to us to create one. Obama has to govern the entire country and will address hot button issues as they are brought to him. Things like police brutality and profiling are local issues in which Obama can't do much about but talk down on police for which won't do shyt but make people like Reb happy. Obama actually targeted loan discrimination when he was in Chicago and it back fired on him so it may not be something he is willing to tackle again.

So him speaking with Al Sharpton means he is speaking to African Americans right? Using your analogy? :comeon:
When did he meet with Al Sharpton to clearly speak about the black community?

I know the Pres met with black leaders a few weeks back.

So you just ignored this part huh.

Just last week, I joined other immigration, labor, and civil rights leaders in the White House to meet with President Obama.

Dude was one of many people there talking to Obama about the issue.

What did I ignore? I had no idea Al Sharpton was in that meeting which I clearly was aware of.

Good for him. I've long said the re-elected President won't be afraid to speak to black folks and will stop sending his wife to black functions. But that doesn't erase his lack of speaking to the black community prior to that.

:mindblown:

Why are you posting what I've already stated????

:what:

It still doesn't erase the real effort by him and his proxies for most of his Presidency to make sure that he doesn't directly refer to Blacks in an effort to look like he doesnt favor them.
