And it still made 51 million. Good enough to beat 99.9% of all movies in their second week of release.

You people are so desperate for an L you make yourselves look dumb as fukk. :heh:

Like how Iron Man 3 held off Gatsby in it's second week last week, despite the latter making $50M in it's opening week. :Flairlol:

If the film opened to the figures that it should have, especially with it's whopping $255M production budget(cost more than The Avengers, Iron Man 3, The Dark Knight Rises btw :laff:) and had good word of mouth(The cinema scores are comically low and below the first) like Cap 2 or Iron Man 3, it would have held. Cap 2 held off Rio didn't it? if it opened far lower than expected and had bad word of mouth, it would have been crushed like how this :trash: was. However Cap 2 was actually a well-made film, opened high, set records, had high cinema scores and subsequently held the top spot for almost a month.

So when asm 2 passes cap 2, what will you say? You atill havent addressed the fact if neighbors came out in cap 2s second week it would have beat it as well.

But dont let truth get in the way of your marvel fantasies.

You know, like the one where asm 1 made more money then every marvel universe film sans iron man 3 and avengers.

How would neighbors have beat cap 2? All the people who would've went to see nieghbor would probably have gone to see cap 2 instead. Nieghbors numbers would've been lower.

They arent even close to being the same demographic. An r rated comedy vs a family friendly comic book movie? Nah. Neighbors was going to do its number no matter where it released.

Neighbors made $51 million its opening weekend so the audience is there for this movie...if it had come out on Cap's second week it would have probably made a little less but it would have still likely won the weekend. Probably would have been something like Neighbors: $47-48 million and Cap: $43-44 million.

So we gonna act like Peter wasn't traveling half the court AND committing a personal foul in that ASM basketball scene? :sas1:

And that's the Spidey ya'll be rooting for? :sas2:

Pretty much concensus view outside thecoli.
People will tell you youre wrong though. But you right.

Is it though? I can get a group of friends who grew up watching spider man in the 90s on Fox and they side with Andrew more than Tobey. Don't do the straw man argument breh because it can be done either which way. My friends prefer Andrew, I prefer Andrew and obviously we aren't the only ones. :yeshrug: if you disagree cool
