tobey suited one section of the character, pre spider man high school peter parker. he didnt evolve at all throughout the films. he played the same bumbling anti social geek the entire trilogy. and when he was in costume he was a badly cgi'd mute. he didnt suit the role because tobey himself is limited as an actor. and when he tried to be dark/edgy/cool in the third film it was flat out embrassing. which just made the problems with raimis films all the more pronounced. tobey wasnt capable ofplaying the role in any other way then high school dweeb. it wasnt believeable for a charactdr to become spider man and still be the exact same bumbling nerd he was before.I agree with you about The Joker, I enjoyed his performance. Still not the point of the argument...the argument is that he is not portrayed exactly like it is in the comics which is something people kept bytching about Tobey in the first trilogy. The hate for him as Spider-Man is unwarranted IMO, he did a good job.
Why was Tobey so terrible exactly? I just don't see it. I did not like Dunst in the first trilogy, I'll give you that one.
Are you mad breh?
I just wanted some discussions going on and people AGAIN are making the same mistake of thinking that a certain character must be fit to how they see them.
Batman alone has had like 4 different iterations, Heath Ledger's Joker is not The Joker I remember from the comics...where is the outrage?

Both of the Amazing Spider-man movies are the same level of quality or better than the majority of Marvel's films. How can this franchise be saved? Is it too late? Do we need ANOTHER reboot?
I have argued with nerds for years, but its going to be tough for Sony to top the first trilogy IMO. Sure that 3rd Toby movie sucked, but IMO it was better than the 2 recent ones and many critics agree with me. Peter played the nerd role better and the villains in the first trilogy are better than the new series.
I think Marvel needs to gain the rights back somehow and brew something for a long time and try again. These 2 movies are going to be forgotten...NO memorable moments that people are going to come back and be like
Special effects mean nothing if the movies suck.
In the first trilogy you at least had Dock Ock which was played perfectly. The Train fight and the fight at the end of Spider-Man 2 are memorable...its classic. Goblins were also good.
It was the same nerds saying the same shyt in regards to the first film though, but since you prefer these 2 films...heres a breakdown of my interactions regarding asm 2
real life:
me: yo you see the new spidey movie?
friend: yeah i liked it, a bit too long but it was entertaining next one sbould be straight
on the internet:
agitated virgin: OMG WORST MOVIE EVER GIVE MARVEL THE RIGHTS BACK ONLY THEY CAN MAKE A GOOD COMIC BOOK MOVIE LOLZ ZACK SNYDER IS THE WOAT

spider-man 2 was regarded as the best comic book movie until the dark knight took the crownYall Crazy. Amazing Spider Man 1 was better that the first 2 Toby Joints. Only thing that saved third Spider Man for me was the whole black suit, and Venom angle. I'm sorry that first spiderman franchise is overrated as hell.
Good for you...that shyt was wack to me.spider-man 2 was regarded as the best comic book movie until the dark knight took the crown

This bullshyt opinion that every movie out of Marvel Studios is some perfect piffery needs to stop. The one thing Marvel is good at without question is making movies that make money.
