Nah that's bollocks. Dre sampling a Stylistics classic for an intro? fukk yesSnoop is using at least 4-7 writers per song and they are all conferring with AI
But yes, it's interesting to wonder how many times the non-songwriting portion of The Colo brethren need to listen to this before they may realize that it is the choruses
I mean brehhs no Dr. Dre fan ever wanted an intro like that to play through their speakers
Dre clearly doesn't care nor does he need to. I applaud him for living in his truth in moving away from what's expected of him
Bro go on any streaming app and tell me what it says??? Who gives a fukk about shyt like this? Lol shyt trash anyway

Was always marketed as a Dre/Snoop project. It would never have made the cover but it's been widely accepted it's a joint project. I suppose it helps for streams but they were pushing the physical for this too until they delayed online orders but shops had plenty, albeit missing Thank You. The pop up in LA had a bunch of alt-cover 2001's too.ITS STILL A SNOOP SOLO
JUST LOOK AT THE COVER
THEY ADDED DRE’S NAME ON STREAMING SERVICES TO GET MORE STREAMS BECAUSE IT GETS ADDED TO HIS PAGE IF THEY PUT IT UNDER BOTH NAMES
AND YEA, ALBUM IS UNDERWHELMING .. I WOULDNT SAY TRASH, BUT FAR FROM WHAT WE EXPECTED

This is as much a Dre/Snoop project as LL/Tip or Common/Pete Rock. They should have just done it that way from the off instead of omitting Dre from the cover because he's credited everywhere else.
'Tha Doggfather' is also slept on in the sense that everyone hated on it because it wasn't as good as 'Doggystyle' but it has several standout tracks..
But it’s also released by both of their labels.TOO BOOST STREAMING NUMBERS
THEY DID THE SAME THING ON MT. WESTMORE ALBUM BY LISTING CUBE AND SNOOP TO REACH THE AUDIENCE ON THOSE ARTIST PAGES
But it’s also released by both of their labels.
So maybe it’s technically or in theory a collabo album, but practically a snoop album
I mean this is whatever....i guess hip hop is only really experiencing for the first time legends in their 50s and 60s making music...this is what most music by old mfs sound like....mid and inoffensive. Although some late-RZA era level awful hooks on this shyt. Every once in a while a guy like Bob Dylan or Gil Scott-Heron will drop some dope shyt late in their career but it's a rarity. And for guys like Dre and Snoop who are probably got yes men surrounding them, then they're never gonna get back to the essence of what made them nice back in the day.
I think our problem is putting too much expectations on OGs like this. It ain't supposed to be good. When Paul McCartney drops another album most people accept it's gonna be some mid and keep it moving
Gil Scott Heron dropped this in 2010 and this was HEAT to me. They used this in an episode of power
