in a year when we got blue lips, gnx and you only die 1nce... this aint it. it has some moments, but i have no desire to spin this again.

which is a shame, cause snoop tried his damndest to make this album matter.

dre dropped the ball. period. fans dont care about this level of audio clarity, so no, i'm not impressed by how clean everything sounds. stop sterilizing the fukking beats and give us something that knocks instead.

Wow I knew priority distributed that album but I didn't know this all happened. Why did they stop working the album and why were their resources cut off? Was it the time warner situation that stopped Interscope from releasing that album, forcing them to go to Priority.
Resources stopped cause everything got put into Pac and getting the double album out, from my understanding the TW controversy excuse was used as part of the reason to not distribute Dogg Food but to me that's a cop out cause interscope distributed "gangsta rap" after that as well, I personally just think Jimmy was shook and didn't believe in Dogg Pound as a group.

I can't speak on the resources, but for some reason Delores Tucker went after Dogg Food like crazy. Well, actually, I do know why, she said it was because of Bomb Azz Puzzy and If We All fukk.

i think the main drawback isnt even the soundscape

BUT not involving

paak
xzibit
game
warren g
kurupt
lady of rage
and some of the og crew was a huge misstep ( i do feel this is why snoop put out a DPG project , and eastsidaz , in the mean while over the past 6 months )

if the soundscape wasnt going to bring the nostaligia from previous projects - at least those features would have

even more so not featurin 1 or 2 of the current or upcomin westcoast talents

if u notice there seems to be a divide/ between kendrick droppin and the push/support his peers have given GNX and the support snoop has received on this from the current crop of talent online

Dre worked on cleanness and audio clarity instead of making appealing beats :mjlol: :mjlol: Like running a busted wrecked up car through a car wash

Just surprised you mentioned Anderson Paak and Dre (they've yet to make anything together that has added any value to Dre's brand, this doesn't contribute to the legacy act brand that is Dr. Dre. Let Paak do an album with Marsha Ambrosia

In fact, Missionary is the exact kind of album Dr. Dre would wanna make with Anderson Paak
Album is good but not what we expected - hope they can keep working like the Nas/Hit-Boy run and keep refining their chemistry
This is the most ideal scenario

This statement may be harsh but there's clarity there

Dr. Dre and his fans both have the unrealistic expectation that he will change the sound of music with every release, he's practically made that a cornerstone of his brand
