They would’ve made a ton of excuses like “he turned around a 1 win program” and “QB is the most important position, it’s worth the risk.” The discourse speaks to this wider societal issue of racial double standards. The fact that none of it can actually be explained by teams means something was going on and eventually the Browns were like fukk it because it's literally an A+ pick for where they picked him. FO egos will think themselves genius if he beats out Gabriel because they got him in the 5th round aka on the cheap because they love that shyt.
