Davante Adams college YPR - 13.3
Keenan Allen college YPR - 12

Just two that I've found in addition to the guys people listed in here(Amon Ra, Welker, Antonio Brown)

But there are a ton of receivers who have been complete busts who have a higher YPR(lol). Lots of guys who look good at that level but don't have the requisite skills to do it at the higher level.

Lots of receivers who never put up impressive college numbers who became great in nfl. Puka Nacua put up 600 yards on 13 YPR his last season in college and is a top 10 receiver only 2 years in.

A lot of this stuff is system and surrounding talent dependent anyways. Plus factor in him also playing DB full time.

1- I included Puka in the OP. He averaged 19ypc his junior year. Career avg 16.5

2- Amon Ra, Wes welker, Keenan. Good finds. However, they are all slot merchants and none drafted as high picks. Also Keenan is 6’2 210 a big body and Amon Ra’s dad is literally Mr. Olympia and he’s been training as a WR since he was 10. Travis doesn’t project as a slot WR and is supposed to be a speed guy

3- Davante and AB two more good finds. Davante arguably the best route runners in history, and AB arguably the best feet in history. :heh: So 2 gigantic anomalies. Please do tell me Travis’ alien anomaly skill that will make him buck history

i mean honestly all jokes aside I didn't respond because thats a strange question

Like how can you know if someone is the best in the NFL draft at "high-pointing the ball", like you don't know that just because you watched CU games and he had 3 jump ball catches lol - do you understand what I am saying?

And thats not what we are gauging anyway, you would not draft a WR because he is the best at jump balls, like thats insane and not a typical football play. Thats like drafting someone #1 becausae they got the best dunks lol.

Also you asked if he was a Z or X or off ball or on-ball, again - what? I'll oblige you slightly. He is usually a X but likely in NFL if and when they put him in they will line him at Z so he wont get touched and it allows for more motion and special plays. Off ball/on ball is literally the same question as Z or X lol

And hes just a better corner than a WR. Can he play WR in the NFL? Yea of course. But you ain't drafting a guy top 5 or 10 or anyting like that to be a JAG (just another guy), The last few top 5 WRs were Jamarr, DeVonta, CeeDee, Justin, JJ, AJ Brown, DK...he ain't none of those guys at WR, and also didn't get to play it full time so isn't as polished.

Theres much much more, but you must think I am calling him a bad athlete. Hes a great athlete. The NFL is bigger than just being a graet athlete though, everyone else is as well. You can't show me 1 thing TH can do that other guys cant at WR, that dont put up major numbers, he is not some Stefon Diggs like route runner, hes a rangy guy similar to a Desean Jack or DeVonta maybe a Garret Wilson but again not as polished or as fast (as DJ) and even GW had 1000+ and 12 tds at Ohio State for the #6 team in the nation with a far harder schedule than CU...

You can't just go out athlete players in the NFL at WR, unless maybe your name is Randy Moss or Calvin Johnson lol

If Ladd MCHONKEY can be a top receiver, so can Travis Hunter. Foh with the nonsense

You just disqualified yourself :umad: You see him and think Wes welker, Danny amendola. Nah. Dude ran a sub 4.4 40 on top of route running skills and UGA development.

Also the fact you thought he was a subpar athlete and that would hold him back is exactly why Travis as a WR is a risky proposition. The WR ranks are filled with avg even subpar athletes which tells us that succeeding at the position is about much more. So Travis simply being a great athlete ain’t enough

Raw athleticism is far more likely to help him stick at DB tho.
