Because teams will "take a flyer" on a guy outside of the 1st rnd.

I personally think he's better than Dart, but his tape has moments of bad decision making which can be seen as him being stubborn looking for the big play, or just wanting to make his numbers look better by taking sacks. Migbt be best for him to go somewhere where he's not expected off thr rip to carry a franchise

Yes but a ‘flyer’ implies upside and Shaduer doesn’t really have any.

Also is the juice worth the squeeze. You have elite Mahomes level cache and pomp and demands and public sentiment, but Tyrod Taylor skill. Pass!

This is like in hoops with the aging star trying to be a role player. It’s typically not worth it. Think Melo, AI, Westbook, etc. Or better yet, Cam Newton. For different reasons but Cam was way too big of a personality to be a backup, yet not good enough to be a starter. So no GM wanted that dynamic

Breh, stop.

Even the NFL.com scout projection has him basically ranked as the #1 qb in the draft. Only thing dragging him down is bad athleticism score. He's not tyrod Taylor

Score Breakdown

Production Score
87
2025 Combine QB Rank: 1st

Athleticism Score *
63
2025 Combine QB Rank: 14th

Total Score
79
2025 Combine QB Rank: 3rd

:wtf:

So in other words….they do NOT have him ranked as #1 :what:

And I think there’s a disconnect with expectations here. Also with how insanely difficult it is to get one of those 32 jobs.

The 3rd best QB in a bad QB class is more likely to NOT make it as a full time starter. A QB picked outside the 1st round is more likely to NOT make it as a full time starter

I named Tyrod Taylor and you took it as an insult. Tyrod has 10+ years in the league and 3-4 as a starter :mjtf: As of today the overwhelming odds are Shaduer will NOT reach those benchmarks. Folk need to forget his last name and start digesting that

He's a Black qb that is lacking athleticism. That's going to drop him off the bat.

Again, he's ranked 3rd overall and 14 athletically. Meaning if he was a faster runner or another similar metric, he'd be #1 overall, at the worst 2nd behind Ward.

Plenty of slow qbs in the NFL are successful. They just happened to be white and athleticism is not expected

They want him to be Lamar and that's not his game. Dude was literally working with TB12 and pro NFL QB coaches.

He is a pocket passing QB with Brees accuracy

Had he came out last year he would’ve gotten drafted in the first round. He was projected to be the number 1 pick this time last year, and now he’s “too risky” and “he has a bad attitude”? I’m not buying that completely man, there’s definitely more at play here. I understood to a degree why the Browns, Giants, Saints, Raiders and Rams didn’t draft him, but for the Steelers it was inexcusable.

Damn these nikkas really are goofies.
Now that I think about. I'm not sure I've seen a QB prospect have a 100K in jewelry and boppin to his own music.

This starter day 1 bravado. Now its sitting all year or having to compete to beat someone out on limited reps. In an offense not built around him or invested heavily in developing him like they would a 1st round pick.

I still think he can be the best QB of the draft, but he's at the mercy of the right situation now. Its not like Cam Ward who is going to get at least 3 years of playing games.

Here’s the thing, he wasn’t really projected to be a #1 pick. That was all them damn espn shows and Deions media friends having constant topics and debates about Sanders going #1, they were doing the same thing with the Heisman. When it came down to the nitty gritty none of the teams tape watchers nor anyone in the war room realistically had him as a #1 pick.

I think that shyt turns off a lot of GMs/ownership... I'm assuming he did pre-draft interviews? How did those go?

I promise you he's better than fukking Jaxson Dart.
