Daredevil and Punisher are by far their best shows
LC season 1 fell off after Cottonmouth
Season 2 was carried by Bushmaster's storyline tbh although the ending has a great setup for a potential season 3.
Jessica Jones season 1 was good, haven't watched Season 2
Iron Fist (didn't finish season 1 or start 2) and Defenders were pure :trash:and if this is truly the end of the Netflix Marvel shows then those two are to blame. Both single handily killed any future enthusiasm for future Netflix Marvel shows. :scust:

not reading thread so someone may have said it, but in my case at least, if i don't watch a netflix original series in the first week when they actually promote it, i forget it exists. even if i add it to my list, it just gets lost amongst the rest of the crap i'll never watch. DD3 was dope, but these Marvel shows have probably run their course, and Netflix needs to do a little self reflection b/c they put out so much bullshyt and stil have such a shytty interface, that people probably forget the shows are there.

I haven't watched Luke cage yet season 2,but I havent had time.

Sometimes when the eps are just there, ppl don't get in a hurry to watch.

Doesnt mean they're not interested

People in here sound delusional if they think Netflix got out muscled. They have by far the biggest share of the streaming market. As they add content, they are going to have to shred dead weight and if the Marvel shows weren't cutting it, then they weren't cutting it.

Only way to beat Netflix is to buy Netflix.

Now couple that with the ratings analysis from the OP source.

I know numbers don't really matter when feelings are involved so people are still gonna run with their ":mjpls:" theories etc. etc., but Netflix doesn't have feelings.

If I had 4 products, and 2 of them were (at their worst) tripling the output of the other 2, I'd cut bait on the stragglers, too.

Now add the fact that ultimately, I don't even own the rights to the product in perpetuity.

Add the fact that they cost the same to make. It's not like the underperformers are cheaper to produce.

Add the fact that the manufacturer who produces my product is preparing to open their own retail space so continuing to fund their underperformers is just adding to their bank account.

:francis:

But what am I saying I forgot where I was. Feminism and racism etc. etc. :lolbron:
@steadyrighteous You gotta a link to the actual article?

We all know that shows with non-white leads are the first to go when networks start cutting shows, and there is definitely racism involved here, but Netflix did over pay for these Marvel shows. So it does make sense for them to look for excuses to get rid of them. Especially considering the direction Netflix is going in.

CW Arrowverse really outlasted and outlived the Marvel Netflix verse :wtf:

Streets are done:hubie:

Netflix are the ones to blame, they paid ABC/Marvel/Disney 200M for the first season of each of the main heroes plus the crossover. They probably made the same deal when Defenders ended because they added Punisher. NY also taxes the shyt out of films and tv shows so that added more to the budget. By comparison CW probably spends 1-2M per episode so around 25M per season, they film all their shows in Canada so they get a ton of tax breaks and they all work in house since CW is half owned by WB
