Luke Cage was mediocre out the gate, but still good.

Second season was solid, good supporting cast, better martial arts, and a much better plotline (dab ignored of course)

Cotton Fist has been bad all the way through. Bloated courtroom scenes in Season 1, a terrible villain for him to face, and horrible martial arts.

Season 2 should've been called Lotus Fist, as Kolin was the only thing worth watching, well, her and Davos. Copper Fist was nowhere to be found and the ending was lame.

Jessica Jones was noir, and done very well. Solid first season, best villain of all the series's and a great ending.

Season 2 dragged on but it still delivered in the Noir department, solid ending even if bittersweet.

Daredevil has outdid itself with every season, far surpassing the rest.

Anyone think why these shows ultimately lost viewers was due to the fact these shows came out every two years instead of one????

That could be a factor. But then the other question is, how dope is a show if it only retains 40% of its viewership from season 1 to season 2. If you’re a fan you’re a fan and you’ll watch whether it’s one year two years or three years between seasons. I liked season 2 better than season 1 most definitely but season 1 felt like an event. Like you had to watch that shyt or else. Season 2 didn’t have that feeling and maybe momentum does come into play in that situation.

The true issue for me anyway, is Netflix doesn’t release numbers so any story on their ratings is secondhand. Another issue is the corporate story here. If the ratings drop off is like being reported, Netflix is right to want to renegotiate the terms of the deal. But since Disney is making their own streaming network to directly compete with them, they have no incentive to give marvel any breaks in those negotiations. If they make a suggestion and marvel says “nah” then they can just walk away rather than keep extending life lines. Now the ball is in marvel’s court as to what they want to do because they have options.

So we gonna act like they didn't already have the script ready for season 3 of Luke Cage? Even season 2 of Iron Fist was better than the first, although not great. I don't believe ratings had anything to do w/ it :yeshrug:

They were operating under the belief they’d get a third season. Netflix wanted to cut the number of episode from 13 to 10 (a great fukking idea) and they balked at it. So when you’ve got lower ratings and you’re playing hardball at the negotiating table, it all becomes part of the reasons to throw you to the bushes.

I think the book might be closing soon on these Marvelflix shows.

Aint no way in hell Jessica Jones and the Punisher aren't in the same boat. Daredevil can't carry everything.

This....doesn't correlate at all, whatsoever. :dwillhuh:

19 daps for this? :notithes:

I think he’s somehow implying friends got worse ratings than living single....which it didn’t :russ:

Yeah I liked living single more but numbers is numbers. Your preference doesn’t equal math
