It's understood money is going to be left on the table and that's why you look for a brand elsewhere that's just as big. Her main concern should be maintaining visibility. She has spokesperson potential outside of sports. Anyone with a little bit of vision could picture her being in a Capital One commercial or doing the Strahan path of hosting a morning talk show while still popping up in the occasional sports hosting gig

Strahan last contract on Good Morning America $17 million per year and before that he was making like $10 million per year on that shyt with Kelly Ripa all while still doing spots on a NFL studio show. Why would someone on her level of charm/professionalism/etc stay in the sports lane with execs who are only trying to chop off income?

Because she isn’t Michael Strahan and therefore can’t leverage that type of money and power play. Even Michael Strahan didn’t have the pull that Ripa did to negotiate a higher pay compared to her. With all 100% honestly, she’s pretty boring as analyst and lacks personality and charisma compared to others at ESPN. Nice person, but boring.

You’re also overlooking the fact that Strahan is under the same umbrella that Taylor is at Disney.

its absurd that you can get 6/7 figures for being a sideline reporter

just get some of those Mexican weather girls to do it for cheap

players will be more likely to talk to them too :mjlit:

imagine this in the nba finals

Y'all are dancing, but I bet MT is about to get cut after the finals too.
She won’t get cut. ESPN offered 5 mill a year and she declined the offer. Now she not about to get nowhere near that salary due to pay cuts. She will probably go over to FoxSports

I kinda like Maria being boring and professional. She moves things along without trying to do the most:yeshrug:

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
If she wants the big bucks, then she’s going to have to shuck and jive and/or become a ratings draw. If not, then she’s just like the majority of other personalities at ESPN.

fixed to describe what you’re really saying.
