Im a huge Knicks fan and I was still tuned in to the ecf but for some reason the finals aren’t making me run to my tv. Im kind of over the nba and just ready for the off season. It’ll never happen but a return to the first round being 5 games would be great. Feels like the playoffs started two months ago. Oh wait they did..Also pre set dates for the finals sucks. It caused a week with no NBA. We’re ready for vacation not trying to watch Kyrie get shut down by jrue and Derrick white

This Caitlin Clark shyt has proved a lot of America won't tune into these games because the stars are black/foreign. If the NBA ever gets the male equivalent of Caitlin then he'd be by far the biggest star in the League and those ratings will get doubled in an instant.
Or just maybe the series seen as 2 boring ass teams the majority of Americans don't give a fukk about. Also NBA ratings stay trash for years. :mjlol:

Luka the biggest star in this series so your point makes zero sense. :dead:

A week off from the conference finals, checked the box score and saw the series was gonna be over quick, and never went back. Also doesn't help having like 3 days between games. WNBA time until next season :yeshrug:

No urgency for casual fans to tune in right now

They had that with Miami Heat, Curry Warriors vs Cavs

It’s gonna take some time to build up some new personalities

Casual fans are locked into a handful of matchups that they can deal with. If those matchups don't come to pass, then fans tune out.

Truth is, the NBA is farther away from those larger than life personalities. That may be an era that has left us behind because of how the world works and how fans are.

I’m a casual NBA fan. Promotion is terrible this year. The Coli is almost the only place I’m seeing NBA news. you know why too :mjpls:
