I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
:yeshrug:It’ll be cool if KB3 was an animated series or movie. Animated by the same team. Who did the animation in the first film. Just have Tarantino write it easy money.

The movie was dope up until this point and as soon as I saw this scene, I knew we had a classic on our hands.

Paul Walter Hauser offered lead role in The Movie Critic per The Movie Reel.

Daniel Richtman is reporting that Paul Walter Hauser got an offer for the lead role in Quentin Tarantino's “The Movie Critic,” pre-strike.

Hauser, a talented actor, would be a fool to turn this one down. He would actually be a good fit. The highlights in his filmography include “Richard Jewell,” “I, Tonya,” and “BlackKklansman.”

The role Hauser would most certainly be playing is that of film critic Jim Sheldon. Tarantino’s writings under the pseudonym Sheldon on the New Beverly website have gone totally under the radar. This made-up character is said to be a critic for the Hollywood Press.

Tarantino has described the character as “Travis Bickle if he were a film critic”. So, a loner, isolated individual, who happens to review movies for an underground porn rag. Sounds great.

The film, which is set in 1977, was aiming to shoot this fall, but the strike has halted its momentum. There have been no other details in regards to plot, casting and additional characters. There is a rumor that Samuel L. Jackson is also in the film.

There had also been a report that Tarantino wanted Bruce Willis to appear for a “cameo role” in his 10th and final film, which he confirmed is not a “revenge” story like his last few films.

The screenplay for “The Movie Critic” has been completed, so it’s not a matter of if, but when, the strike ends for this film to start production in Los Angeles. If the strike goes on beyond the fall then we’re probably looking at a mid-2024 shoot.

EXCLUSIVE: Quentin Tarantino will be reuniting for the third time with Brad Pitt in his final film The Movie Critic. Unclear if Pitt will play the title character, but I think he is. Last time out, Pitt won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood, and he also starred for Tarantino in Inglorious Basterds. I also think Sony Pictures will be back as the studio distributing the film, with Stacey Sher producing and a 2025 release eyed.

Tarantino has been circumspect on the last movie, but he opened up a bit to Deadline’s Baz Bamigboye at last Cannes when he presided over a screening of Rolling Thunder. He said at the time the movie was set in California the year of that film’s release, which was 1977, and that it “is based on a guy who really lived, but was never really famous, and he used to write movie reviews for a porno rag.”

Tarantino has been quoted saying the main character is in his early-mid thirties. I don’t think Brad Pitt will play the role unless he ditched the idea of a younger actor and will modify the role to fit Pitt. I was thinking since the movie is supposedly set in 1977 & only 8 years after OUATIH which was set in 1969 that Pitt & DiCaprio could reprise their roles. Not as lead actors but make cameo appearance.
