Tarantino has been quoted saying the main character is in his early-mid thirties. I don’t think Brad Pitt will play the role unless he ditched the idea of a younger actor and will modify the role to fit Pitt. I was thinking since the movie is supposedly set in 1977 & only 8 years after OUATIH which was set in 1969 that Pitt & DiCaprio could reprise their roles. Not as lead actors but make cameo appearance.
I agree. It's weird reading an "I think he is" in a Deadline article, lol. Even the trades don't seem so sure on whether Pitt is the lead or not.

I would say no only because Tarantino always means what he says. If he says he will cast a new lead American actor who is in his 30’s I trust that he will stick entirely to his world that he created with this script.
