Juggeknots are originally from the North Bronx (Baychester Ave.) but when they came out they had moved to New Rochelle.
Anyone know where the Camp Lo dudes are from? They claim the BX.

Saying You’re From Uptown Is Usually A Harlem And Washington Heights Thing
In the Bronx the Northeast Bronx is known as Uptown even though the whole Bronx is considered Uptown to someone from let’s say Brooklyn

Might be a generational thing but yeah that’s a fact

Bronx geography is just weird to be honest. A lot of spots can be considered South Bronx, to the point where I was living on Tremont and that was considered part of the South Bronx and I look at a map and I'm like :dwillhuh: That's mainly because 85% of the borough is east of Jerome (which is supposed to be the line of demarcation). Then you go further north, the BX street numbers turn into Manhattan street numbers and shyt, there's a neighborhood that's kinda ours but technically Manhattan's even though the Harlem River splits Marble Hill from Manhattan, weird shyt. fukk Robert Moses.

North Bronx (if there's really such a thing) to a lot of people is just Riverdale, so nobody's gonna shout out Riverdale. That's the real nice side. That's where some celebrities you might know go to stay at. Besides, Riverdale is filled with old :mjpls: heads who resent having Bronx, NY on their mail.

We just shout out hoods. Is Highbridge South Bronx? West Bronx? We don't really care. We just shout out Highbridge and it's that's South Bronx to you, :yeshrug:

No its not generational. You can tell who just be chatting and who actually had any analog interactions with heads from uptown.

I remember one of these goofies on here tried to swear up and down that fordham is considered the North Bronx :dead:

Because them niccas be mad late on everything, they started rocking Marm's 3 years after South Bronx cats started rocking them. Further, them dudes is geographically isolated, Morrisania and Mott Haven being connected to and easy to get to other parts of the city made for a faster spreading of culture and ideas.

Geographically connected neighborhoods are often going to hold more weight, 145th and Broadway and Polo Grounds holding the sway it does culturally inside Harlem is also because of where it is on map in comparison to say 116th Lenox or Lex.

This thread could also be made about the East Bronx Castle Hill/Soundview section, my family used to call that shyt "Japon" spanish for Japan because they considered it so far. If it wasn't for Pistol Pete and Sex Money Murder causing havoc they would also be trivial on some hood legend tip.

Looking at the current rap scene is weird to me as a older head, because all these new rappers are from West Bronx hoods that bluntly speaking with the exception of 183rd/Creston their names didn't ring bells growing up.
