It’s not causing distress or impairment of physical impairment to the person so no it is not a mental illness. It might not be normalized behavior but I don’t think they should be pathologized

It is a form of body dysphoria. For some odd reason, people refuse to call it what it is because there's some evidence (based on brain analyses) that trans people are born that way. But imo, abnormal things happen in utero all the time. It's an aberration and letting them get bottom surgery is a fukked up form of treatment. Whatever....

Your rejection of "treatment" is based on the physical domain of person AKA the body supercedes that of the mind. I'm not convinced thats the case, although they work in tandem the brain/mind determines who a person is and how they function.


We've all seen sci-fi/fantasy media depicting body swapping. In all cases the only way to inform others of the change was to inform them, real life isn't so pg-13 and people have rejected that very notion.
