I don’t think the new school players appreciate the players that came before them, which is a huge problem. There is no passing of the torch and the history of the game does not seem to be important.

Last night really did feel like the jumping of the shark even more than usual. fukking MrBeast??? SMH Kevin Hart was unbearable and Shaq is never funny without Charles.

1st Q- Players not going too hard, throwing alley oops, fancy dribbles, 3 pointers, and easy lay ups. Basically all smiles and fun.

2nd Q- Game picks up due to the 2nd string All Stars trying to prove they belong. But still not going hard. Less “Globetrotter basketball”, more set plays.

3rd Q- Games picks up to keep the leads respectable, not dumb tricks allowed, unless you’re built like that. No dumb 3 point bombs from 39 feet.

4th Q- It’s on like Donkey Kong. Pride and bragging rights are on the line. Friendships are done. Noses broken, harder fouls, more ONE on ONE defense, specific set plays used for certain players. Slower methodical pace.

There’s a reason the named the ASG MVP trophy after Kobe. He took that ish serious. I remember back in 93 Karl Malone, Barkley, and Hakeem made it their business to test Shaq. Niqqas was contesting everything and fouling the him in that paint. Dudes took it serious. Not now.

The talking heads straight up said he shouldn’t get the MVP because Derrick Henry was the ravens running back as if having good players at the skill positions has ever been a valid argument for a quarterback to not win the MVP while also ignoring his terrible offensive line, terrible kicker, his receivers being drop prone while the ravens don’t spend at receiver, and the ravens defense being awful most of the year. Then there’s the blaming him for the playoff loss to Buffalo when their final 2 drives ended with a horrible fumble and a dropped 2 point conversion to tie the game with 93 seconds left by Mark Andrews.
