KD is wrong. Winning has never been the only thing that mattered. Competing and being entertaining matters as well. Basketball is a business and a product. Without the fans they will have nothing.

Nobody is asking them to play like its game 7 in the playoffs during the all star game. But all they got to do is put in some effort and actually try to win. They are paid to play basketball for a living. How hard is that? The level of effort in the all star games is just like the level of effort chris paul and wemby had when they did the skills challenge. They were not even trying to shoot the ball. There is a big difference between a good faith effort to play the game and not even pretending to give a damn. Fans are reacting cause they are not even trying to play.

Agree for the most part, but I think he’s wrong about 1 key thing.

All-Star weekend used to get a ton of hype. More hype than basically anything the first half of the season.

If All-Star weekend loses its appeal (and it’s getting there), they’re in trouble. There used to be good drama going into All-Star games if for no other reason it was East vs West.

It got hype because we couldn’t watch these players. You can now watch these games in fast speed.
