The all star game becoming a farce started around 2016 when the West damn near hit 200. What we have now is just the culmination of years of not taking it serious once the last few players of the 90's and 2000's played like KG Bean Duncan Dirk Wade etc. no longer were around. Won't lie and say they have always played hard nosed D back in the day but from the end of the 3rd till the end of the game pride definitely used to take over and they used to compete to see who truly was the best conference.

What old heads are teaching and mentoring them to help them? Kobe opened up a whole academy to teach young players the game on court, and held off court class for the guys who are stars now. Lebron? KD? These young guys you speak of will follow suit of the old heads. Not all of them, but most of them.

Folks have been saying for years that he has no flare or pizazz to his dunks, his dunks are boring, etc but now he's the reason why the dunk contest is in shambles. Not the fact that we have seen damn near every dunk humanly possible in the last 30+ years. Someone is gonna have to do a 360 windmill from the free throw line or some shyt like that. Even the dunks using props are getting tired. How many times are folks gonna jump over cars & people
Message!!KD seems oblivious to the point that it’s the current and former players that have caused this, not the fans.
People like the playoffs because that’s the only time they play hard, or in some cases even play at all. For some players it’s the only time you can see them play two games in a row.

Yeah I don’t know what dunks you could do anymore that could wow people now. Like the Eastbay funk was one of the coldest dunks I ever seen.. I learned how to do it and my friends loved that shyt…. But that’s why people are jumping over cars and people and shyt now. You need props to do these dunk contests now. I’m really surprised nobody like took a selfie and posted on Instagram mid dunk yet.. something stupid like that lol
