More sleepless nights i guess

Honestly. I don't blame guys like him and other content creators because this is their livelihood at stake . There's no way people will check their content if they have to cover all platforms, so some people are going to be losing a lot of money. So, I understand why people like him are panicking here. These dudes should def go out with a bang and say fukk Phil because a lot of these dudes are going to lose a lot of money

there has to be a lot of reassurance that "Xbox is here to stay", and something that resembles positive news
We all know its a damn lie if he says that. They can make a console, but third party support is going to be as good as dead. We'll mostly see the heavy hitting AAAs like EA sports, take two games, ubisoft, and a few others. However, indies and AA would skip that xbox unless they get a gamepass bag , so whatever he says will be a lie .

Logically, no person will buy a xbox if they can buy their games on Playstation. PC and consoles are a different market, but having games on Playstation and Nintendo means why spend $500+ recurring sub fee for a xbox? Smart people will just buy a Playstation and use that $500 to buy Microsoft games on playstation

Not to mention if they put games Hi Fi rush on switch and PS5, people will now know it’s only a matter of time before other games hit their opconsol and will just wait. They’ve got enough games on their own system to wait.

Microsoft has to ways to solve this
: Pull out of putting any game on PlayStation anmd Switch and that includes COD and all on Xbox.
: Quit the hardware race and go full third party .

You simply can’t have it both ways which they’re quickly finding out.

I think the only way they can somewhat have their cake and eat it too is if they get out of high end console market. I think their only option is to continue with series s and provide a budget console or maybe a hybrid console. There's no way they can match Sony again on high-end console because that would be DOA imo. However, most paths imo say going multiplat is what's best for them, but they have the gamepass issue because majority of gamepass subs are on consoles, and they need a console if they want to continue with gamepass

MS pulling out of the gaming hardware market is a smart move.

I really wouldnt be surprised if this is the final console

They will probably have one more that exclusive streams games. MS is looking toward the future, console gaming is not it anymore.

Phones, tablets, smart tvs, computers, VR headsets, the infrastructure is already here. Just like their are countless laptop makers but their all running windows.

Sony stans eat this up like a win but MS has basically bought them out, they now own almost all the major IPs of the last 20 years and in the next 10 years you will be able to play those games on any platform. Its only a matter of time before playstation will be obsolete because you can play/stream the game on other devices. Then in another 20 yesars when MS contols the market, they might release a MS devive that plays there games.

The game has changed console arnt the media hubs like they used to be. Back in the day people bought a PS2 just to play DVDs but now you buy a console and all you get to do is game on it. The entire concpet is gone when you can play the game on any smart device. It pigion holds sony to keep making hardware while MS moves on. Nintendo will be fine either way because of the IPs they have but Sony IPs are far and few compared to MS and Nintendo. This is a big win for MS.

No offence but we’ve head this shyt a million times about how they’re looking towards the future yet here we are. PlayStation is still the dominant console. Maybe in 20yrs time MS will dominate but last I checked they’re the ones about to put their games on PlayStation not the other way round.

Gamepass was also supposed to be the future like @winb83 used to say and was always urging Sony to join before they got left behind. Now we find out it’s not even sustainable and MS might no longer put games on there day one anymore :mjlol:

I been saying this but you will be label as a fanboy. Microsoft position themselves to put all their games and ecosystem on any device they want like Office 365. They may still make consoles but not super power type devices more like cloud or Series S machines.

Again this is a top management decision to maximize profit. Sony will have to follow suit sooner than later

This is what happens when your messaging is completely fukked up and nobody knows what the fukk is going on. Why wait next week; why not just clear the air now?
Damage has been done to the brand now regardless of what they say next week.
