Presence :scust:

That boring ass movie isn't even worth watching on your phone let alone on the big screen.

Movie going hasn't been the same since COVID. Like I mentioned in the Film Room, cinemas used to packed, nowadays it's almost a ghost town even during a premiere.
They need to come out with better movies.
Hollywood doesn't do anything cool or new. It's all this algorithm crap and goofy executives.

"The stats say viewers wanna see XYZ..."

I've seen a lot of directors say that great movies from back in the day would never get made now because the studios would want too much control.

Earlier this month. I saw the re-release of Se7en in IMAX
That movie reminds me of a joke about Kevin Spacey.

It might have been on SNL but it was something like Kevin Spacey plays a good psycho and a$$hole in movies because HE IS a psycho and a$$hole.

I think it was when he went to court for sexual harassment

Yall love showing that yall are a bunch of anti-social dweebs on this site :snoop:
I see both sides. Is the movie experience worth the money spent? I have two daughters. If we go see the new Lion King, we dropping $100 easily. Instead, I can wait till it hit Disney+ and cook my own food, pop my own popcorn and enjoy on my 65” TV.

On the flip side, the movie experience is great. The screen, sound, seats and IMAX if you splurge. Movies used to be a pastime for Americans. Netflix and streaming messed the game up.

I missed out on Top Gun in theaters. I think there are 2-3 movies a year worth going to the theaters solo. I want to catch the “last” Mission Impossible in IMAX this year.

Last time I took my girl to the movies was to see Alien: Romulus

So we figure we could just show up and buy tickets like the old times, we pull up like "Greetings, we are here to buy movie tickets :skip: ..."

Security in the front looks at us like, " :dwillhuh: ...get yours asses to the vending machine, and y'all can't pass this line until you have a ticket...."

So I buy two tickets and that sh*t prints on supermarket receipt paper from 1990, a strong gust of wind and I would've lost these tickets :skip:

The small popcorn was like $9.99, water bottle was like $8.99, the whole experience just wasn't worth it anymore, we back to streaming :manny:

You gotta use an app these days.
I am used to getting online at the theater and buying my paper ticket. But now the move is to download the Atom app or whatever...and buying your tickets there.

Yeah, it was a nice summer day so we figure lets just go take a walk and catch a movie.
We got reprimanded by the security guard cause we didn't have the Fandango app.

See, you're taking your kids for the experience. Some of these cats are proud carriers of their basement dweller badges.

Oppenheimer. It was incredible.

I love watching movies in theaters but my wife doesn't (she can't pause and be on her phone). Yet when I try to go by myself she feels some type of way. :dahell: Women are something boy. :mjlol:
Tell her you're gonna go to the movies with her best friend.

Let us know how she responds
