We were scheduled for the 7am showing of dark knight. That was Friday morning. The Aurora shooting happened at midnight, it was all over the news by then. We stood in my living room like

then went and watched the movie.
Only times I can think of that were interesting was when borat opened in theaters someone dragged me to opening night Friday night 830 maybe a 9pm showing. Full theater, people were laughing and literally laying in the aisles, laughing their ass off. People were laughing so loud you couldn't hear the dialogue. Id never heard of the actor and it's not my humor, I was just watching the experience. Id never seen something like that. People loved it. It was truly an incredible experience to witness.
I told my friend who's a movie buff, he knew who the actor was and had watched Ali and shyt. He was hyped to see it. So we went the next night. Saturday night. Same time, same theater, I might've even sat in the same seats.
I kid you not I thought someone was going to start shooting. People were pissed. Not a single laugh. Not a chuckle, not a giggle. Completely polarizing experience. Even cacs, were like

. Some even walked out.
My boy that I went with who loves movies didn't like it. And when we all got together later (the ones that were with me when people were going apeshyt and the one that was with me when it bombed) they don't believe each others experience.
