The last movie I saw in the theater was Deadpool and Wolverine. None of the movies that have been releasing lately have interested me enough to go to the theater. Most will be streaming in a few months. I'm definitely seeing the new Captain America, Superman, and Mission: Impossible movies in theaters when they release, though.
Actually all three of those sound pretty good.

I'm sure some dramas have been good on a big screen.

Even a wholesome movie like Forrest Gump would be fine in a theater.
It's not that it's fine or not to see a movie in a theater. It's just not necessary to me. I will only spend the extra money to see a movie in the theater if the theater experience will probably make the movie better.

Watching a movie like Top Gun: Maverick, the last Mission: Impossible, or the upcoming Superman would fall into movies I would prefer to watch on a giant screen with amazing speakers the theater has. The only exception to this rule for me might have been Oppenheimer. I wanted to see that one in the theater also and saw it on 70mm (IMAX 70mm was a 4-hour drive. Wasn't happening).

I liked the Falcon and The Winter Soldier Disney Plus show and I want to support Mackie since this is the first black Captain America movie. If it's not successful at the box office, the white nerds who complain about "wokeness" "DEI" etc will have a field day. James Gunn has me excited for Superman and Tom Cruise always delivers in the action movies.

Horror movies are good in theater too. I heard watching "Get Out" in the theater was an amazing experience :wow: Jordan Peele deserves so much props for that movie, the concept was creative as hell :banderas:

Imagine seeing the Halloween movie with Busta Rhymes in a hood theater :mjlol: Nikkas had to be going crazy when Busta started doing Karate moves while squaring up with Mike.
Not a fan of the horror genre. Never found them entertaining bc it's always people just making the worst possible choices and dying. Just turn left :dahell:

Actually the last movie I think I saw in the theater was Deadpool and Wolverine.

Haha, your post reminds me of the Geico commercial making fun of horror movies having stupid characters :heh:

Nosferatu and the wolfman

Gotta go to a theater with heated seats and reclining chairs. I did for Nosferatu but didn't realize I got the wrong ticket for the wolf man. Totally different experience, the heated seats and my hoodie made me feel like I was at home wrapped in a blanket. Really enjoyed it. Problem is it's not that many good movies out that make me want to go. ,maybe the new caption America movie in a couple weeks? But I'm kind of meh on that so IDK.

Terrifier 3( loved it)
Late night with the devil( was decent)
Kong and zilla new empire( decent)
The minions movie( trash but my kids wanted to watch it )
SOuth park bigger longer uncut( love it and my kids wanted to watch it in theater.Special throwback night)
Abigail(loved it )
Quiet place day 1(boring)

Movie experience has gotten better. comfy reclining seats , better picture and sound experience.

I got a decent setup in my living room. Nice 85 inch tv, 4k blu ray player but it cant beat the theater experience for me .

I also buy a lot of movies. Im a big movie guy
