There's two parties because there are two main political forces
Conservative. Wants to conserve. Keep things like they are. Or go back in time to a previous era. Make American Great Again. So the fascist white people wish to live in an era where they rule and "minorities" know their place.
Liberal. Liberty. Freedom. Wants everyone to have all the same rights and want people to be free to be themselves. Culturally. Sexually. Spiritually.
And.of course you have radicals and moderates on both sides.
So AOC and Bern are right where they need to be. With the Liberals. Y'all keep crying cause your people are the radicals and.you want them to totally replace the moderates. I'd go as far as to say the very nature of the universe renders that idea impossible. Yin Yang. Dark and light. Hard and soft. If you look at the symbol there's an element of Yin inside Yang. So the Liberals necessarily have some more conservative liberals included and the conservatives have some more liberal conservatives included.
