Millennials got jaded after Obama turned out to be a nothingburger. 9/11 eroded our liberties and alot of use can remember the financial crisis of '08 ravaging the working class.
After Occupy Wall Street failed and so many uprisings got crushed, we got fukking grinded down.

Gen Z saw their classmates and people globally getting bodied by disease and watched the new wave of fascism sweeping around the world. Entering a workforce that has no intentions of hiring them at a fair wage. Having to worry about dodging bullets instead of dodgeballs at school. Climate change winding up. can't blame them for just going "fukk it :manny: ".
we millennials can't just give up tho or even worse, turn into nihilists. the last "lost generation" produced stalin & hitler and initiated world war 2. If we're gunna be jaded about society and human nature, at least make some dope art out of it like the Russians.

I was on Morgan State campus tryna tell Negroes about Obama. Had signs and was soap box preaching about the smooth talking negro in a suit. Everyone drunk the Kool Aid except me it seemed. I was called c00n and even the lowest and most disgusting looking black women wouldn't have sex with me. My life was hard ..harder than my dikk...but I knew I was right. I knew not to trust no mulatto ever. The Haitians were right...don't put a mulatto.in power.

You can't tell people to just "not be nihilists" when they don't see any incentive to be anything but

you would have to wait another 10-20 years to answer this question.

i think boomers and gen x did more in their 20's but they were pretty much settled down/washed by 35 with the exception of the most talented artists, entrepreneurs and politicians.

Millennials will have more impact in our 30's and 40's because we look younger if we took care of ourselves, many of us aren't married and/or don't have kids, and maybe some floundered a bit out of the gate in their early 20s and finally hitting their stride now. The economy made it easier for boomers and gen x to come out of the gate making moves early.
Your last paragraph is actually describing Gen X. The economy in the late 90s and early 2000s was smoke and mirrors. Alot of us didn't hit our big strides until 30s. Especially if you're black. But we're in our 40s now and we still out here looking young and fit. I'm 45 and still look like late 20s early 30s, just like a big portion of my circle. I still say we had the lowest expectations of the generations before and after us, as we were initially called the "Slacker" generation for a time. We still fly under the radar, we are similar to the "Silent" generation before the "boomers"

Facts. We got collectively disillusioned along the way, but at one point we legit thought we were going to change the world. I remember those songs like Waiting for the World to Change by John Mayer. Essentially, the same shyt that happened to the hippies, activists, and free lovers in the 60s and 70s happened to us. We took hella L’s and were forced to lean back. :wow:

I got plenty fight left, though. :demonic:
