It baffles me how cacs and even some brehs can just sit there and lie that we didn't invent rock, house, influenced country and all kinds of genres

I remember reading DJ Paul saying sumn like, "We used to sample what our parents listen to, now the kids sample us, now the music is getting worse"

That always stuck with me, I don't hate all rap, and I get the roots of it but it's a shame more ppl don't bring up the diverse music AAs made and brang to the forefront

I’m not sure. I feel for Gen Z though. I listen to synthwave sometimes and I’ll see a lot them in the comments on YouTube talking about feeling nostalgic for a time period they never experienced. How they wish they’d been born in the 80s, 90s. A lot of them lamenting and wishing they lived before cell phones. I know those time periods were awesome but its weird because I never wanted to be alive in the 70s, 60s, 50s, 40s, etc. There was something pretty great in the 80s - 2010 though.

I only found out about this last year. I'm March 97. Gen Z should be separated. The older half and younger half of GenZ are two different people. I can relate with Millennials, but the younger half of Gen Z can barely relate with me.
