I never really liked IWW. The balance is off.
It has a dark/dead vibe from start to finish. The whole feeling of the album has such a negative energy.
Like if you wanted to stop a party, play IWW.
That's why I love it so much

shyt I made a thread about it years ago. And I ain’t the only one. I think folks got older and listened different. It’s a GOOD problem to have if you’re Nas.
His actual technical rapping is better on IWW. Nothing more nothing less. He also is more versatile on IWW. Storytelling ability improved as well. He was also more creative.I can see why, the G Rap influence is more prevalent. But I'm talking about lyrical depth, the writing, etc. Of course G Rap prefers the flows and subject matter on IWW...that's what he's been rapping about for nearly his entire career. Both are classic and dope. But the words, ideas, and emotions behind Illmatic are better IMO, and to most people I'd imagine.
Like saying Reasonable Doubt is a 5 mic classic? Lol. Ok.From 96-20whatever
It was blasphemous to say IWW>

but I do know when that magazine rerated albums one got 5 mics and the other stayed at 4, even though they were reviewed in the same issue during their release.
Lol sure buddyOne was campaigned for, the other wasn’t. Politics basically.
....? Tical went Platinum faster than Ready To Die did and Enter The Wu Tang went plat by like mid-94.That’s why Biggie sold 2 mil out the gate when Nas, Mobb and Wu were barely going gold.
Puffy was more worldly, for example he directed OutKast first video. He knew the sound had to appeal to markets outside of the tristate area.
